PROGRAM:
Zanesville Fire Inspection Program
Deputy Chief Eric Waltemire
According to the National Fire Protection Association, there are annually approximately 85,000 nonresidential structure fires in the U.S., resulting in 80 deaths, 1,100 injuries, and $2.4 billion in direct dollar loss. The City of Zanesville Fire Department conducts commercial building fire inspections on a regular basis. Fire inspections identify and reduce hazards and unsafe conditions in businesses and reduce risks to workers and customers. When risks are reduced, the individual, business and community avoid physical harm, financial losses, loss of community tax revenue, and loss of employment. There is much you can do to reduce the risk of fire in your facility. Steps you can take on your own to reduce workplace fire risks will be presented.
