Responsible for promoting and selling workforce training and related supportive services to business and industry by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and partnerships in Guernsey, Muskingum, Noble and surrounding counties.

Compensation package is based on salary and commission (uncapped)

Qualified applicants must possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience in sales, contract training, or closely related field. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field required. Excellent computer skills along with the ability to work well with others. Experience with SalesForce.com a plus.

Business Assessment at MCBI

Through the experts at the Muskingum County Business Incubator (MCBI) and the Center for Workforce Solutions and Entrepreneurship at Zane State, we are offering every chamber member a Business Assessment at a dramatically reduced rate.

The Business Assessment Includes:

Confidential and impartial review of your business strategies.
Evaluation of your business practices.
Identification of your biggest challenges.
Recommendations for solutions to your challenges, including cost savings.
Identification of potential areas for growth of your business.
Development of strategies aimed at helping you grow.
Recommendations for additional expertise and professional services you may need.

The cost of the assessment is a one time fee of $99. That amount can also be applied to reduce the cost of any other MCBI consulting services you may purchase in the next 12 months. The non-member price of an assessment is $135.

The business assessment is the first of many services that the Chamber, MCBI, and the Center for Workforce Solutions and Entrepreneurship will soon be offering through a new partnership called GROW. The GROW program will make available advanced business consulting and training services to area companies at affordable rates.

Learn to Row

You can learn about the sport of rowing at a special event hosted by the Midwest Rowing Association. The association holds their championship each May at Dillon Lake and they are holding a hands-on lesson about rowing on August 2 from 4 to 6 pm Anyone 7th grade or older is welcome to attend and there is no charge. A cookout will take place after from 6 to 7 pm. Come out and learn about rowing and support the association, which brings thousands of visitors to our community each year. Civil War Reenactment on the Lorena Sternwheeler

Enjoy the Mighty Muskingum River and Civil War Reenactment aboard the Lorena Sternwheeler on August 8 and 9. Witness a Civil War battle, be accompanied by uniformed Troops and their cannon, enjoy entertainment by Governor William Dennison, learn about a Civil War Surgery unit and visit the encampment. Plans to date include an animated light show set to music at the Muskingum County Courthouse, new Christmas banners, wreaths and decorations installed in downtown Zanesville, Christmas lights and decorations will adorn the Y Bridge,
6th Street Bridge and Zane's Landing Park, several businesses in New Concord, Dresden and Zanesville have already selected a favorite storybook for their theme and are making plans to decorate their stores accordingly. We want you to get involved too - select a storybook and decorate your business around that theme, join your business neighbors to coordinate theme and decorate public space around your building, submit your Christmas events for inclusion in the holiday season calendar of events.
