Tourism Team - The next monthly Tourism Team meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 1 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Chamber.  Anyone interested in supporting the local travel and tourism industry is welcome to attend.  Meetings consist of updates and discussion on attractions, events, lodging and various tourism development issues.

Bronze Award - The Muskingum Valley Human Resource Management Association has been designated as a Bronze Chapter by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Chapters earn Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze status under the "SHRM Excel Award" program based on their accomplishments as SHRM affiliates. SHAPE is broken down into categories that every chapter should do to be successful and to operate smoothly.Some of the basic requirements include financial and legal management, chapter communications, and promotion of SHRM. Other categories include chapter operations, which among many things includes membership recruitment and retention.

Living Local - Chamber members are invited to participate in Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District's "Living Local" workshop. The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Mission Oaks Volunteer Building, 1720 Euclid Avenue in Zanesville. The purpose of the workshop is to highlight local agricultural producers and associated business owners in Muskingum County and help citizens understand the importance of purchasing products locally. Export to India -: The Ohio Development Services Agency in partnership with Kegler Brown will be hosting "Exports to India: An Overview of Market Opportunities" from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on April 10, 2014 at the Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square. Business Matchmaker - Registration is open for webinars to help you prepare for the Ohio Business Matchmaker. This event is a unique event designed to bring together small business suppliers with buyers from federal, state, local and prime contractors to fulfill their contracting needs and requirements. Buyers and suppliers will have the opportunity to meet for 10 minutes in one-on-one sessions to discuss billions of dollars' worth of upcoming opportunities. The Business Matchmaker will take place April 22-23 in Dayton, but you can start preparing now with these webinars.
