Business Question - A fellow businessperson has a question regarding time clock systems.  Are any of your willing to talk about your experiences with employee time keeping and attendance software and related systems?  Here are few questions to show you what we are looking for:  Has your company integrated your time clock and computer system?  How much has this improved your efficiencies?  If so, how much pain was involved on a scale of 1-10?  Your feedback and opinions are welcome - just email Dana Matz at dmatz@zmchamber.com.

Tourism Team - Join the Convention and Visitors Bureau Staff for the monthly Tourism Team Meeting....Tuesday, February 4 at 9:30 AM at the Chamber offices.  The meeting is open to anyone interested in the hospitality industry in Muskingum County.  Local, regional and statewide tourism initiatives are discussed and great networking opportunities are available.  For additional information contact Kelly Ashby at kashby@zmchamber.com or 740.455.8282

Submit Your Event - If you have an event coming up you should enter it in our online events and meetings calendar at zmchamber.com as a way to promote it.  It's free to members and it's simple to use.  There is a "submit new event" link on the right side of the calendar page.  Click it and fill in your details.  You can also find the calendar link at any time on the homepage of zmchamber.com.

AAA Travel Expo - Lori Kappes, our CVB Group Sales Manager, recently promoted the Zanesville-Muskingum County area to over 12,700 leisure travelers at the AAA Great Vacations Travel Expo in Columbus, Ohio. The show targets top quality exhibits and attractions from Alaskan Cruise Lines to day trip destinations.

Useful Tools - Looking for something to do this winter? Where to take the family? Go to www.visitzanesville.com for a complete list of fun things to see and do.  Wondering if there is a great exhibit, art class or must attend event? Click on the calendar of events to check out what is happening at one of the local attractions.  Another way to keep in touch - like us on Facebook at Visit Zanesville, Ohio and receive daily posts about "things to do".  Exploring your own backyard is a great way to keep in touch with your community.

Free Email Blast - With your Chamber membership you get one free Email Blast in 2014.  This service normally costs $50.  Once each month, we compile an email message, called a "Chamber Marketing Blast", containing sales and advertising messages from member firms and send it to our list of about 1,000 contacts. This is a great way to promote your products and services, especially if you time the message to support a broader promotion or campaign you are conducting this year.  Contact Jenni Masterson at jmasterson@zmchamber.com to schedule your Email Blast.

Awards for Existing Businesses - The annual ACES awards nomination process has begun, and we encourage you to let us know about your business successes in 2013 so we can recognize your efforts (or maybe those of one of your loyal customers or suppliers).  Read up on the ACES program and submit a nomination for your company today. This program is an important part of our economic development program; a community that wants to cultivate growth must celebrate the achievements of its businesses.  Please help us be that kind of community and thank you and other businesses for your investments and improvements.
