Direction

The current forces are prompting us to embody more active presence. It is critical at this time as there is a heightened need to be more aware of details on every level. These can escape our conscious attention when we are distracted, fragmented or trying to grasp for or avoid something. It is difficult to make decisions that holistically support our well-being when we don't fully inhabit this center of activity known as Life and its supreme receiver, the Body.

The human ego is vigorously invested in avoiding the present moment, the environment where it is dissolved. So the real work begins with a need to move beyond the fears and compulsions that nourish the ego's various agendas.

Current trends make us increasingly prone to respond to every bid for attention in the form of stimulation of every kind. This is processed and communicated through our emotional body (emotional feedback system) and desire nature. Endless options, seductive ideas and a myriad of technological lures keep us in a posture of always having to respond and at a velocity that contradicts grounding and depth. The faster we go, the more superficial the passage. Our consumer appetites and technologies support and promote this without limit.

The problem is not with any one thing, product or behavior but with the absence of a matching energy which contributes to us bringing into the picture a balancing degree of grounded, sustained attention and contemplation over time...enough to be responsible for our choices and aware of outcomes. Quantity destroys quality when in excess. When we take the time to engage it, our inner rational sense can discern and choose so that only the highest quality material reaches us in ways and to a degree that we can best filter and absorb what we are taking in.

Our willingness to receive and integrate critical awareness in the form of active presence is paramount during this period. The current infusion of Light (evolutionary energy-information) into the planet is on a level that is very challenging for us to fully receive and assimilate. We're simply not used to integrating this degree of Consciousness on the cellular level.

Being paradoxical creatures with egos, we crave and seek the Light, but we also resist it. Many are falling into unconscious negative behavior at this time as a way of fulfilling this resistance. Fortunately, we can choose to surrender to our need to heal and evolve before the suffering associated with lack of presence forces us to.

Action

Look into your involvement with media consumption and use of screen technologies (mobile devices, computers, television and even music) especially when combined with activities where your attention needs to be unified for the sake of clarity and safety. Check in around what you imbibe for sustenance and/or entertainment. Are these things contributing to you losing your connection with your sense of inner wisdom to the point where there is chronic energy loss or where responsibility for your well-being is impaired?

In most cases, it will be a matter of degree and not an all-or-nothing situation. If we can't make a correction personally, we won't be able to do it collectively. Being consistently distracted and unfocused is, for the most part, what is responsible for mistakes of judgment, accidents and, on a mass level, negative technology, industrial errors of every variety and magnitude as well as governmental policy that doesn't support the freedom and autonomy of the individual.

Most of us are operating 'in the red' where these inherently neutral activities, materials and technologies are concerned. This is where they are easily converted into problems and addictions. Give yourself some time during this period to experiment with new proportions. Note any successful improvement and install it as a new standard.

As an example, many know that the 'right amount' of alcohol can enhance a social situation or experience. This is why, in part, it was used in many traditional religious and sacramental rites (connecting to 'Spirit'). Too much, however, cuts discrimination and dismantles boundaries that naturally protect and support our higher good. Knowing where this edge is and maintaining it is a function of will. Go only as far as your will is developed and stop there.

Practice doing one thing at a time. Chew your food. Start to eliminate things that don't engage you on every level (all the chakras). Depth of experience - to be lovingly absorbed with something - trumps endless surface stimulation.

Soul starvation can end at this time as we dare to engage with life's fullness by slowing down, going deep and opening our hearts to all things.
