Dear JABBERS: My mother is Southern. So naturally, I'm big on thank you notes.
I want to thank each of you, JABBERS, for the ongoing contributions that you have made to JustAskBoo. Thank you for the photos of South Florida you have sent us for our Facebook and Instagram pages (please keep them coming!), the stories you have told us for our new Six Degrees of JAB feature, and all the resources you have shared with one another. JAB started out as an email blast five years ago. It evolved into a resource-sharing e-newsletter, and we have since grown into one of South Florida's leading digital publications, and a can't-live-without resource for tens of thousands of loyal JABBERS.
You might have read in the February 24 The Miami Herald Business Monday section, that we have been working on our second round of investment funding. I am proud to report that we have exceeded our goal! And with this, I would like to extend a special thanks to our angel investors.
With this new round of capital, we will enhance our technology and our website to make JABBING even more easy and fun. We even plan to bring you a JAB app, which will enable you to post and respond on our newsletters, place classified ads and access the Treasure Chest much more conveniently. We will also host some fun parties and events so that we can all JAB together in person. We assure you that we will work hard to maintain the integrity of JAB, so that you can continue to count on us for reliability and quality control. And there is a very simple way that you can help us improve it even more ... spread the word to your friends who are not yet JABBERS. They can sign up HERE.
Stay tuned for these exciting changes. They are all designed to make JABBING even better for you!
Thank you again and Happy JABBING!
-Boo

Young Cancer Survivor in Need of Support
From Team JAB
JABBERS, we recently learned about a local cancer survivor who needs help. Archie McNealy was born in the Overtown projects in Miami. He lost both of his parents as a young boy and attended a variety of public schools, where he excelled scholastically, but lacked opportunity. After being selected to participate in the Summerbridge program, an intensive summer program geared toward high performing students from undeserved areas, Archie was offered a place at Ransom Everglades School. He excelled and became the most well-liked student on campus. Tragically, he was diagnosed with cancer in July 2004. For years, Archie has been stuck in a cycle of doctor's appointments, aggressive treatments and in-home recovery from those treatments. He lives in a small one-bedroom apartment in Little Haiti and needs help with his out of pocket medical expenses and his living expenses. To read more about Archie's heartbreaking story and to learn how you can help, click HERE.*

Take a Spill
From Lisa Mishurda: REPLY Help! A cup of coffee was spilled on the brown leather seat of my dining room chair. Not all the coffee was removed right away and now the leather is stained. I attempted to clean it with a leather cleaner/conditioner, but the stain did not come out. Can you recommend a company or person who can clean leather? Your replies are greatly appreciated!

Inspection Perfection? From Ashley Cusack REPLY Inspections have always been an important part of the purchasing process, but now they can be a little trickier. With this shifting market, it's more important than ever to make sure contracts are tight ened up as much as possible. More and more often, I see buyers who expect sellers to negotiate the inspections, making them more of a struggle than they have been in recent years. It's probably due to the fact that buyers are paying more today and, therefore, expect the house to be in better condition. So, if you are a seller and you're entering into a contract, be aware that you may go through more than one contract before you actually get to closing.
