Dear JABBERS: I am totally schvitzing. Freaking out. Wigging. Losing it. Going nuts. Doing backflips! Why, you ask? Because it's our birthday, of course! And not just a birthday, a milestone. We are FIVE YEARS OLD!
For me, launching and growing JAB has had a lot of parallels to raising a child. It might sound dramatic, but it's true. At first it's itty bitty, with nothing but potential. Little by little you nurture it and infuse it with the things it needs to grow and prosper. And you gather a team to do it, realizing that it really does take a village. Somewhere along the way you blink your eyes, and just like that it's all grown up. You are overcome with nostalgia and pride. You are well aware that this village is comprised of a few components (in this case, Team JAB and all of you JABBERS). And all there is left to do is celebrate!
We launched JAB five years ago with an initial capital investment of only $2,000 and two people. Since then we have grown the business into four South Florida markets, 30,000 JABBERS, and 15 employees.
To celebrate this milestone, we will be hosting a party where we hope to thank each of you in person. We will announce the date and details soon so please stay tuned.
In the meantime, please keep JABBING!

Coconut Grove Market Update By Ashley Cusack, EWM Realtors: REPLY
Miami has seen quite a comeback in real estate, but it seems prices in Coconut Grove have gone up even more so than other neighboring areas recently - a product of the extremely low inventory and high buyer demand. I took a closer look at this market and wasn't surprised by the numbers. In looking at the non-distressed single family home market between $1,000,000 - $2,000,000, the average selling price per square foot in the past 6 months is $336. That's a 13.8% increase over this same time period two years ago when the average was $295! And even more incredible is the increase that we've seen just in the past year. The average selling price per square foot in the Grove from the first half of last year was $316, so we have come up 6.3% just in the past 6 months! Are you considering selling? If so, call me because I too have buyers looking! To visit my website, click HERE.*
