Dear JABBERS: Lately, every night just as I sit down to dinner with my family, the phone rings. Then it rings again. Then again... Who gave these politicians my phone number, anyway? While the jokes about Paul Ryan's math skills and Joe Biden's teeth are pretty funny, the Saturday Night Live skits are priceless, and the political drama between "friends" on Facebook is entertaining, I look forward to Wednesday, November 7 - a day we can all wake up knowing this election is behind us. At least for another four years.

Meanwhile, if you have not carved out time to vote, I hope you will. The lines are long and the ballots are even longer. But as Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting." There are millions around the world who either can't vote because the political regimes under which they live do not permit it, or who might as well not vote because their votes will not count.
It is not only our right to vote, but it is our responsibility. So whether you are voting for President Obama, Mitt Romney, or the (possibly) soon-to-be-out-of-work Big Bird, go out there and VOTE tomorrow! In addition to the presidential seat, there are also many state and local issues on the ballot that are important. To read more about the issues and to view a sample Miami-Dade County ballot, click HERE.
Happy voting and Happy JABBING!
-Boo
PS - If voting is still on your to-do list, remember to bring a good book (or Kindle or iPad), folding chair, water and snacks, umbrella for sun, sunglasses, sunblock and most importantly, lots of patience.
