Taking on a new system can be taxing, and users often opt for a simple start, with a view to growing into more detailed use when the basics are mastered.

Workamajig is detailed and complex and in a constant state of growth and refinement, so if you are ready to assess your current level of use and want a session to familiarise you with any area of the software that you may not be fully utilising - that's what we are here for.

For example, an option that has proven to be a bonus to agencies that are chasing a lot of new business is the 'Opportunities' area:

  1. Using Activities you keep track of your cold calls, client and client-to-be conversations, next steps, general thoughts, reminders, and so on.
  2. When you recognise the potential for a new project with a client or client-to-be you create an Opportunity.
  3. The Opportunity is tracked through different stages and 'Win Without Pitching' (WWP) levels, still having Activities added, and notes and conversations recorded.  
  4. When pitching the client or client-to-be you generate an Estimate for the Opportunity.
  5. When approval to go ahead is received you convert your Opportunity to a project.
  6. The project is created automatically through the opportunity conversion process with the approved Estimate (which is now considered the budget of your project) along with the specification sheets and attachments that you entered when you were still at the opportunity level.

You now have a clear and easy trail to follow showing step by step how you went from Opportunity to Project with all of the history and detail together in one place.
