MaryLee Sunseri Concert Wednesday, June 30 at 10:30 AM!

Next up in the Concert Series is musician MaryLee Sunseri, a singer of songs and teller of musical tales.

As a lifelong traveling troubadour and entertainer, her boundless repertoire of American music has been collected from "California to the New York Island, from the redwood forests, to the Gulf Stream waters."

She is a delightful interpreter of popular and original songs, and an engaging performer for all ages. She specializes in singing with guitar and a musical spirit that gets audiences moving and singing along!

Plan to join us every Wednesday morning through August 12!

Suggested admission is one new book per family, preferably purchased at Linden Tree, that will go to Reading Partners, a non-profit that provides free literacy tutoring with local children who are aiming for grade-level reading proficiency.

All performances are Wednesdays at 10:30.

Our remaining lineup:

This long-time tradition is one we are proud to continue: promoting local musicians and entertainers, providing a warm (yet air conditioned) space for the community, and getting books into the hands of children who need them most.

Special Workshop with the China Insitute in America on July 10 at 4:00PM!

Linden Tree is honored to be selected by the oldest organization in the United States to promote China/U.S. cross-cultural education to present "The Palace is Like a Big Forest" on Friday, July 10, from 4 to 5 in the afternoon.

In this interactive workshop, tied to the book This is the Greatest Place!, children ages 5-10 will learn about the largest wooden architectural structure and largest enclosed palace in the world: the Forbidden City in Beijing China. Where is it? What was it used for? How was it built?

Students will learn how the inspiration for building the palace came from nature and they will have the chance to design their own palace. Through additional games, activities, and an animated video, children will learn not only how nature influenced and inspires Chinese culture and the building of the Forbidden City, but how nature can inspire and nurture us in our daily lives.

RSVP for this FREE event at info@lindentreebooks.com or 650-949-3390.
