Jump For Joy Music with Wiley Rankin Wednesday, June 24 at 10:30 AM!

Next up in the Concert Series: Come "Jump For Joy" with us!

Featuring popular children's songs, fun traditional songs, and creative original tunes, it all adds up to one lively interactive show that instantly engages the audience!

Plan to join us every Wednesday morning through August 12!

Suggested admission is one new book per family, preferably purchased at Linden Tree, that will go to Reading Partners, a non-profit that provides free literacy tutoring with local children who are aiming for grade-level reading proficiency.

All performances are Wednesdays at 10:30.

Our remaining lineup:

This long-time tradition is one we are proud to continue: promoting local musicians and entertainers, providing a warm (yet air conditioned) space for the community, and getting books into the hands of children who need them most.

Thank You, Los Altos Businesses, For Your Support!

For anyone who WASN'T at our wonderful reception and author event for Jennifer Chambliss Bertman's debut of Book Scavenger during June First Friday, we had a packed house!

With over 25 kids participating in our town-wide scavenger hunt for books and clues, and over 80 people enjoying our author event, it was a wonderful example of how the community can come together to support each other.

Thanks to the generosity of participating local businesses, attendees went home with prizes and gift certificates from SkateworksPharmaca, Nature Gallery, On Your Mark, Costume Bank, Cranberry Scoop, and Area 151 along with books and other fun giveaways.

We are thankful to all who helped make the two-week event a success!

Please visit these great businesses!

Special Workshop with the China Insitute in America on July 10 at 4:00PM!

Linden Tree is honored to be selected by the oldest organization in the United States to promote China/U.S. cross-cultural education to present "The Palace is Like a Big Forest" on Friday, July 10, from 4 to 5 in the afternoon.

In this interactive workshop, tied to the book This is the Greatest Place!, children ages 5-10 will learn about the largest wooden architectural structure and largest enclosed palace in the world: the Forbidden City in Beijing China. Where is it? What was it used for? How was it built?

Students will learn how the inspiration for building the palace came from nature and they will have the chance to design their own palace. Through additional games, activities, and an animated video, children will learn not only how nature influenced and inspires Chinese culture and the building of the Forbidden City, but how nature can inspire and nurture us in our daily lives.

RSVP for this FREE event at info@lindentreebooks.com or 650-949-3390.
