"Spirit Animals" & "Wings of Fire" Author Tui T. Sutherland Monday, November 3 at 4PM

Readers and fans in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will not want to miss popular Scholastic author Tui T. Sutherland as she presents her latest books in a special visit to Linden Tree Books.

Spirit Animals #5: Against the Tide: In the world of Erdas, every child who comes of age must discover if they have a spirit animal. Four children, who each share a rare and powerful bond with a spirit animal, come together to save their world.

Wings of Fire #4: The Dark Secret: The Wings of Fire series continues with a visit to the mysterious island of the NightWings, where Starflight must face a terrible choice..his home or his friends?

Kara Fundraising Day & Author Event with Esther Ehrlich ("Nest") Thursday, November 6

Kara is a nonprofit organization whose volunteers facilitate others' journeys during life-threatening illness and bereavement.

Linden Tree will donate a portion of supporters' sales all day and will host Esther Ehrlich, author of Nest, on Thursday, November 6 starting at 6 PM.

Nest from Wendy Lamb Books, an imprint of Random House, is a heartfelt and unforgettable middle-grade novel about an irresistible girl and her family, tragic change, and the healing power of love and friendship.

Author Brian Falkner with "Northwood"; "Maddie & the Tongue Taker" Saturday, November 8 at 4PM

Los Altos First Friday November 7, 6-8PM

This month's downtown First Friday festivities are focused on a special student art exhibit.

Linden Tree will be open until 8PM in support of this monthly community activity.

Graphic Novel Author Ian Lendler Wednesday, November 12 at 4PM

Don't miss Ian Lendler presenting his hilarious graphic novel titled The Stratford Zoo Midnight Revue Presents: Shakespeare's Macbeth!

The Stratford Zoo looks like a normal zoo... until the gates shut at night. That's when the animals come out of their cages to stage elaborate performances of Shakespeare's greatest works.

They might not be the most accomplished thespians, but they've got what counts - heart. (Also fangs, feathers, scales, and tails.)

With amazing illustrations by Zack Giallongo (Broxo, Ewoks- Shadows of Endor), this is a Macbeth that can be enjoyed by the whole flock, pack, or family. So take your seats and prepare for Shakespeare's greatest tragedy as you've never seen it- funny! And with tacos!
