Snail People Concert This Wednesday, August 6 at 10:30AM

Join us for Snail People -- they were so much fun last summer, we asked them back for more!

Snail People is a multi-instrumental, multi-genre and multi-hairstyle touring music duo for kids and families.

Re-imagined classics and creative originals encourage slowing down, being at home wherever you are, problem solving, and compassion.

Snail People shows are interactive, with singing and dancing along and on-the-spot song creation.

This Thursday, August 7: Craft Activity 5-7PM During Farmer's Market!

Please join us at Linden Tree for a FREE Craft Project during the State Street Farmer's Market.

Special Guest Sophie Maletsky, the author of Sticky Fingers: DIY Duct Tape Projects, will be here with "Do It Yourself" Duct Tape Projects from 5 to 7PM on Thursday, August 7.

Sophie is a curious.com certified teacher and a Nickelodeon Parents' Pick Winner with a YouTube channel that has 5.5 million views, and is known as the "the premier authority on duct tape crafting in the United States!"

Bring your fingers, we'll supply the sticky stuff!

Party for Save Rafe! Middle School Book By James Patterson Sunday, August 17 at 4PM

Please join us for a fun end-of-summer celebration!

We will have some activities especially geared for boys ages 9-12 featuring art and creative writing games inspired by the MIDDLE SCHOOL series by James Patterson.

James Patterson's hilarious story, Middle School: Save Rafe!, shows everyone's favorite troublemaker, Rafe Khatchadorian, the star of the Middle School series, learning to become a leader at long last.

After a rough summer, Rafe is heading back to the dreaded Hills Village Middle School, the site of the very worst years of his life. And as if that's not bad enough, he's learned that he's going to be held back a year unless he can prove himself on an outdoor survival excursion--complete with dangerous white-water rafting, dizzying rock climbing, and fanatical counselors.

Rafe and the rest of the pack of "delinquent" trainees are forced to cooperate as they prepare for the final test: a solo excursion in the deep woods. Can Rafe come out of the experience in one piece? And if he does, he go home as the same insecure kid?

Please note this is not an author event, but a party to celebrate the release of the latest book in the series.

RSVP requested to 650-949-3390 so we can provide refreshments.

Special Pet-Themed Story Time Saturday, August 23 at 11 AM

Please join us for "Pet" Story Time featuring the new picture book My Pet Book by Bob Staake (Random House) on Saturday, August 23, during our regular Story Time at 11AM.

Children ages 2-6 are invited to bring in photos of your own pets (or your favorite stuffed animal pet!).

We will read some other favorite pet-themed books such as Children Make Terrible Pets by Peter Brown (Little, Brown).

We will talk about our pets and find out why a book can make one of the very best pets of all!
