2014 Group Product Changes
Impact to Existing Clients |
|
As we previously communicated, Coventry will exclusively offer benefit plans that meet all health care reform requirements within our standard medical products. As a result, we are replacing all of our standard health benefit plans to comply with 2014 Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements. ACA applies different rules by group size. As a result, we will continue to maintain two standard product portfolios: one in small group up to 50 employees and one for clients with more than 50 employees.
For existing clients, current coverage will continue until the policy period ends in 2014. At that time, we will identify a new plan option based on your client's current coverage, however clients can select from any of our available products within each of our product portfolios. As always, we encourage clients to make changes 15 to 30 days before the effective date. If no changes are requested, we will renew the policy based on the pre-selected benefit plan(s).
Many of you have already heard about our new products at our recent broker seminars and webinars. For Coventry of Delaware brokers, we will share more information soon, including announcing our webinar dates. Also, we have been communicating regularly with clients about these changes, and we will remind them once again with their upcoming renewal information.
