As you are aware, big changes are coming in January 2014 as major provisions of the Affordable Care Act are implemented. Because the provisions will change health benefits programs as we know them today, many small business owners may feel uncertain and concerned about what lies ahead.
Coventry has a plan to help you and your small group clients gain certainty and security in these changing times:
Small Group Early Renewal Option
We are offering a December 1, 2013, early renewal to all small groups with January 1 through September 1, 2014, renewal dates. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for you and your customers.
For existing clients, early renewals will be issued following a staged approach beginning in late-April. By renewing early, your groups can take advantage of:
- Consistent Rating Methodology
- Consistent Benefits (same as today)
- Stability
New Business Opportunity
Clients not currently offering coverage through Coventry can also use this opportunity. New clients enrolling with effective dates of July through November will also have the option of taking an optional December 2013 early renewal.
To help you with this process, you will be able to quote effective dates through the end of 2013 no later than May 1. This gives you more time and we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.
