If you're looking for an app or program that will help you manage projects or keep track of lists, here are a few that are worth checking out.
RememberTheMilk
This one has been around for quite a while and has proven to be invaluable as a task list app. Some of its most popular features include:
- Being able to set due dates and/or repeating tasks
- Estimate how long a project will take
- Synch with Outlook
- Links to Gmail or Google Calendar
- Available for Android platform
Wunderlist
Described as "Your beautiful and simple to-do list" this app is growing quickly in popularity.
- You can invite friends/co-workers to collaborate on a list
- Available for iPhone, Mac, Android and Windows users
- Syncing across all of your devices.
MyShopi -- This is my go-to app for keeping track of what I need to get at the grocery store, Costco, or Target. - Can easily transfer an item from one list to another
- Scan items you currently have in stock
- Create a favorites list for those items you purchase frequently
- Select from a database of more than 1,000 predefined items
- Email a list to someone else
AnyList -- Create and share lists with family and friends. - Create custom lists - such as what to take on vacation or office supplies you're running low on.
- Share and synch with family and friends
- Store recipes to help plan your grocery shopping
- Use Siri to add items to your list (iOS 6 only), so you can tap and track on the go
Doit.im -- If you follow the Getting Things Done (GTD) philosophy, you'll appreciate this app. - Works best for project-based tasks
- Manage timelines and deadlines
- Free version is great but for $20/year you can upgrade for additional features, such as adding tasks via email or creating reports.
Do It (Tomorrow) -- Not that I want to encourage procrastination, but this app is touted "For the guilt-free procrastinator." - Easy to add a task to your daily to-do list
- Easy to push it to tomorrow
- Free for Android users; $4.99 for iPad users. The web version lets you try before you buy.
