Know Thyself: An Exploration of the Within
Within us lies an infallible sense of guidance that leads us to happiness, and that may be called Divine in its truest meaning. Our difficulty lies in turning away from the distractions and the noise of the external world so that we can learn to recognize that voice.
Pir Zia Inayat Khan will guide participants on this journey withstories, sacred sound and breath practices, contemplative perspectives and meditative practices. This weekend will provide anopportunity to explore the inner life and immerse oneself in the sacred.
PIR ZIA INAYAT-KHAN is a teacher of Universal Sufism in the lineage of Hazrat Inayat Khan. He received his Ph.D. in Religion from Duke University. Pir Zia is head of the Sufi Order International and founder of Suluk Academy, a school of contemplative study with branches in the United States and Europe. Pirzia.org

RTI Community Overnight Visioning With Shahabuddin and Annapurna Rescheduled For January 1st-2nd
Dear Friends,
The Rising Tide Community Visioning with Shahabuddin and Annapurna is postponed until a date right around the upcoming New Years Eve / Day.
Shahabuddin suggested that everyone start to really go deeper for the community visioning - that it should start right now - so we can have a powerful overnight gathering around New Years.
He counseled that it is an important time for our community to watch our minds and our thoughts, especially:
- rhythm
- rapidity
- volume
& that if we're able to maintain a quiet mind, this will allow our inner essence to bring forth messages and gifts for Rising Tide's visioning.
Ron Riffel offered to create a space where everyone can send their own questions that can prompt inner inquiry and deeper listening. For now, send your questions / comments to ronaldriffel@gmail.com, and he will compile a community space for this conversation to take place.

Thank to all our supporters for helping us have a wonderful journey to the Parliament of the World's Religions!
Each of our 3 sessions were standing-room-only, packed, and full of people praying for peace and fully present. We could not have asked for more. Warm receptions in Boston at MIT, Sharon, Massachusetts; Illinois State University, Ryerson University in Toronto, Waterloo University in Ontario, Missoula, Bozeman, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, and the Bay Area were a powerful way to bring the message of Peace, Salaam, Shalom to the USA and Canada.

Zikr Circle 7:30 PM The group gathered in the Zikr circle join together to chant the attributes of God in rememberance. We hope you will take this opportunity to infuse the Zkr circle with your energy, and join us as we all move forward personally and collectively. Those new to this profound and joyful practice are always welcome, as are longtime devotees. Women's Meditation Group NEXT MEDITATION: Doors open at 6:30 pm & closed at 7 pm when meditation starts All women are invited to attend the Women's Meditation Circle offered twice a
month on the Friday evenings closest to the New Moon and Full Moons. Starting it's 10th Year Anniversary, the meditations are offered for the harmony and raising of human consciousness. Meditations are varied and include guided visualization, Kirtan chanting, Sound with Gongs or Crystal Bowls, Drumming and Silence. An experienced leader is chosen to lead each gathering. Each woman brings her unique practices along with rich perspectives to the group. DONATIONS: Rising Tide is the "home" of the Women's Meditation Circle. It is due to the commitment and generosity of the center that we are able to use it on Friday evenings. A donation of $10 is suggested - more if you can, less if you can't. The Universal Worship celebrates the unity of all religious faiths on one altar by lighting candles to represent the diversity of faiths and offering prayers to honor all religions. A Cherag (from the Persian word for 'lamp') facilitates this service.
