SEEKING HOUSING & EMPLOYMENT

Hi, my name is Maya and I have just relocated here to the Sarasota area from Western MA. This Sufi community is so lovely! I feel I have found a new spiritual home for my heart. I enjoyed meeting many of you at the Tuesday night healing circle & meditation.

I am seeking to rent a private room, or to house sit, in a pet/smoke free & minimal-fragrance home beginning in December, on a month-to-month basis. Offering to pay up to $550/month rent, inclusive of utilities. I have a fixed income & can reliably pay my rent. I can also share skills in childcare, empathic listening, co-counseling, energy healing, meditation, light organic gardening, errands.

I welcome temporary or part-time employment in these skill areas: childcare, energy healing, meditation, light organic gardening, errands, creative writing, plus organizational support, and I can provide positive references.

I am happy to be based in the Sarasota/Venice area, or the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area. Thanks so much, Maya Liebermann, BA, RP, IARP, Reiki Practitioner & Meditation Guide 413-552-9008,

WEEKEND WITH PIR ZIA INAYAT-KHAN, HEAD OF SUFI ORDER, AT RTI

Friday, Nov 13, 7:30pm - Public talk - $20 at Rising Tide, 5102 Swift Rd
Saturday & Sunday, Nov 14 & 15, 9:30am -5pm - Know Thyself: An Exploration of the Within

Within us lies an infallible sense of guidance that leads us to happiness, & that may be called Divine in its truest meaning. Our difficulty lies in turning away from the distractions & the noise of the external world so that we can learn to recognize that voice. Pir Zia Inayat Khan will guide participants on this journey with stories, sacred sound & breath practices, contemplative perspectives & meditative practices. This weekend will provide an opportunity to explore the inner life & immerse oneself in the sacred.

Pir Zia Inayat Khan, Head of the Sufi Order, is a scholar and teacher of Universal Sufism in the lineage of his grandfather, Hazrat Inayat Khan. He received his Ph.D. in Religion from Duke University. Pir Zia is president of the Sufi Order International and founder of Suluk Academy, a school of contemplative study with branches in the United States and Europe. Pir Zia exemplifies a new generation of spiritual teachers. He is keenly aware of the needs of the present day, of a world in crisis, & an emerging spirituality of the future, built upon the centuries-old tradition of the Sufi Masters. He is also founder of the inter-spiritual institute, Seven Pillars House of Wisdom. He lives with his wife and two children in rural upstate New York.  pirzia.org

Early Bird registration now open - $225 for entire weekend, 1 day - $125. To register:
