GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING TO AHURA'S LIST |
1) Ahura's List is not on a set schedule; It's sent out more or less weekly. If you have a time-sensitive item, please submit it early to be sure it's included. Send to: ahuraslist@yahoo.com
2) Each item initially runs twice: first under 'New' & the next time under 'Repeat.' No item runs continuously or indefinitely.
3) Keep it SHORT & SIMPLE - It's your responsibility to edit 'forwards' or any lengthy item to a reasonable length. Include contact info, & links for readers who want to know more. Do NOT submit flyers, press releases & attachments; Write up what you want to say, keeping it as succinct as possible. Ahura's List reserves the right to edit submissions for length & clarity.
4) If you submit an item you will be 'subscribed' (free); If you want to unsubscribe, you can easily do so at the end of any Ahura's List (However we will not be able to reinstate you if you opt out, then change your mind)

FREE BAMBOO
Free if you will haul (likely a flatbed truck will be needed) - Stand of bamboo 50' tall, 15' in diameter.
Each stalk is between 2" and 3" in width, so it is a lot of bamboo. Must take all. Must come by and see it before the date it is cut. Must be here early on day it is cut (tbd) and must load it on your truck. Call Anna 941-468-6362.

EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE
Dear Fellow Travelers, Many of you know that Wayne Dyer was a great man. He truly stood for the best in himself and in all others. An excellent example to strive to emulate. I received word of his passing from his friend & colleague, Mary Morrissey, who is quite excellent in her own right. Her Dream Builder Training empowers many thousands. I had the privilege of taking her training last winter. Wayne, Mary, Pope Francis and many others, seen and unseen, thank you. In gratitude, Mark Avraham.

SPECIAL UNIVERSAL WORSHIP AT RTI THIS SUNDAY
Sunday, Sept 13, 10:30-11:30am - Please join us for a special Universal Worship Service to commemorate Hejirat Day, the day in 1910 that Inayat Khan left India with the message of the prophets in his heart, heading to the West. This is a day to remember the moment, the movement, the momentum & the feeling of that message of unity - the message of spiritual connection that pervades all beings, all religions, all nations, and all spheres - which lives in every heart, and which is the true heritage of humanity.
The order of service consists of : Opening greeting / remarks; Lighting of candles for the following religions: Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Judaism, Christian, Indigenous, Islam, Truth; Sermon: Prayers; Closing. This special service will be conducted by a group of Cherags & all are welcome to attend - at Rising Tide International, 5102 Swift Rd, Sarasota.

MINDFUL YOGA FOR ARTHRITIS COURSE AT RISING TIDE
Tuesdays, Oct 6 - Dec 8, 10-11:30AM - This 10-week course is led by Surapsari, certified yoga instructor, at Rising Tide International, 5102 Swift Rd, Sarasota. The class aims to ease arthritic symptoms, improve range of motion, and strengthen the muscles around the joints. All the standing poses can be done in a chair. Various modifications and props are offered to make every pose and movement accessible to every participant. Pre-registration is required. He received his B.A. (Hons) in Persian Literature from the London School of Oriental and African Studies, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Religion from Duke University. Pir Zia is president of the Sufi Order International and founder of Suluk Academy, a school of contemplative study with branches in the United States and Europe. SUNSET TAI CHI AT THE BEACH
Every Monday evening, starting 15 minutes before sunset, at Siesta Beach Access #5 (at the edge of the village where the road curves sharply to the left). Join us for a leisurely session of T'ai Chi Chih (also called Moving Meditation), as we watch the sun set over the Gulf. If you want to quickly de-stress, this is a healthy, enjoyable way to do it. FREE YOGA CLASSES FOR VETERANS
Every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30pm, Veterans, military service members, and their immediate family members may enjoy a free yoga class led by Cheryl at Garden of the Heart Yoga, 2888 Ringling Blvd at Tuttle (Gold Tree Plaza). This class is gentle, therapeutic, and is designed for veterans and service members who may be working with injuries, PTSD, or who have never tried yoga before. Flexibility is NOT required!

Sensory Motor Amnesia (SMA) is the condition of chronically-tight muscles that have learned to stay contracted due to repeated responses to stress such as accidents, injuries, surgeries, and repetitive tasks.
