This week the SUITE New York Principals are “a Milano” for iSaloni Internazionale 2013 – the world’s largest and most important furniture fair. Jealous as we are of all the delicious homemade pasta and espresso they are surely enjoying, we are living vicariously through them by featuring THE ITALIANS.

Azucena
Family owned and operated, Azucena is a boutique manufacturer whose origins date back to 1947 when a group of young Milanese architects (including Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Ignazio Gardella) decided to manufacture their own furniture in order to compile a catalogue of furnishing options for the houses they were designing. Including everything from sofas to door handles, the resulting Azucena catalogue consists of 150 gorgeous products whose original design specifications are entrusted to highly skilled craftsman. Dominioni’s Catilina chair (pictured) is one of our favorites.
