The leaves have turned and sweater season has arrived! Chilly nights beg for a good book, hot apple cider and a roaring fire from the comfort of a big cozy armchair. This week we highlight a few of our favorites...

Bergere
Truly the most comfortable easy chair we’ve ever experienced, Bergere was created in 2007 by design it-girl Patricia Urquiola. The chair has an angle-adjustable seat and comes with an optional footstool. Architectural Digest took this photo of two Bergere chairs by the fireplace of Carla Fendi’s flat in Rome.

CH445 Wing Chair
Hans J. Wegner’s classic wing chair is the substantial and ergonomic mid-century modern piece you’ve been searching for. The crisp lines of this timeless design look amazing in both sleek leather or a cozy fabric.

Zoe
Looking for something more free form? The Zoe lounge chair is casual and comfortable without the typical pitfalls of “soft” seating like sagging or a lack of support. Its body is made of five separate chambers filled with expanded polystyrene pearls. Available in a variety of sizes and shapes, including a kids’ version.

Raffles
The Raffles armchair is one of our more traditional chairs, with simple roll arms and classic swivel castors on the front feet. Designed by the legendary Vico Magistretti as part of a larger collection of chairs, sofas and poufs, the entire Raffles collection features fully removable covers.

Calvino
For tighter spaces, Calvino has all the height and gusto of a full size armchair, but is only 30” wide. The covers of the armchair and optional footstool are fully removable. A low-back version is also available.

Egg
Last but not least, there is ever-popular, iconic Egg. Arne Jacobsen’s 1958 design has stood the test of the time with its unique shape and the womb-like comfort it provides. Has there ever been a more inviting scene?
