In the fall of 2012 members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids committed themselves, and their building, to joining Family Promise's Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN). Family Promise, a national nonprofit organization committed to helping homeless and low-income families achieve lasting independence. Gloria Dei's motto is "Others First" and joining Family Promises's Interfaith Hospitality Network in Cedar Rapids fit perfectly with the congregation's commitment to serve their community by opening the church to people in need offering shelter, hospitality and meals. This is a retreat for men where hearts and souls can be strengthened by the call of Christ. It is sponsored by Lutheran Men in Mission.  Close to 200 men have attended OYTL's in Wisconsin since 2009.

The $175 registration fee includes lodging, meals and retreat materials.There is also a $25 discount for ages 18-24 or seminarians. Commitment to attend from Friday 5:30pm to closing on Sunday at 3:00pm is required.
