New ELCA forms available

June 23 was the last day that you could use formatta to access and submit your Rostered Leader Profile. As of June 30, the new forms, which are web-based allowing them to interface more seamlessly with all computers, web browsers, and tablets, will be accessible on each corresponding ELCA webpages (candidacy, assignments, and call process). 

 

If you have forms on file with the database, it is recommended that you go on-line through ELCA Community to review the content of the material. (The ELCA Community Login link is available at the bottom of the ELCA homepage under "Contact Information".)

 

Information on how to review and update your forms using the new interface is available on the synod website.

Several years ago my husband's bishop tried initiating a diocese-wide call to the catechumenate to 

engage those preparing for confirmation in a period of study and formation. We call it confirmation class or catechism, so

mething generations of Lutherans have gone through. But this was a new experience for the Episcopalians in his diocese. He set about developing a curriculum for prospective confirmands, only to encounter resistance. How do Lutherans get participation in multiyear catechetical instruction? Located at the ELCA churchwide organization in Chicago, IL, the Director for Budget Planning is responsible for assisting the Treasurer and Executive for Administration in the development and management of the churchwide organization budgets. This includes income and expense analysis. This senior leader will supervise and direct the activities of staff servicing the units of this church in their budgeting and accounting responsibilities.
