The Underground is back on track with its numbered series and #108 promises a night of great home-grown music in the form of three of the most exciting bands currently on the live music scene. The show takes place at Backstage in Central so mark your diaries for Saturday, 22nd June 2013. Dark Himaya, fresh off of launching their CD last month, open with their expressive ambient music with soaring vocals. The one and only Shotgun Politics follow, with their memobarble and intensely energetic pop-rock. And to conclude return the amazing Les Gromechkos with their musical maelstrom of ska, crazy accordions and wild unexpected moments.

最後結合了ska，瘋狂的accordions及出乎意料的旋律變化的Les Gromechkos一定讓你無法停止舞動和歡笑！

It's that time of year, and The Underground is once again working in conjunction with the Quebec Government to bring Planetrox, the band competition to Hong Kong.

One lucky band, based in Greater China, will have the chance of a lifetime: to perform in front of rock royalty, thousands of fans and top band headliners (including NOFX) at Envol et Macadam - Quebec, Canada's top alternative music festival from Sept 5th - 7th, 2013.

Currently, a public voting process allows fans and online audiences to view the 10 semifinalists' videos and cast their votes.

The results of this public vote will be combined 50/50 with the Envol et Macadam judges' vote to determine the final five who will perform live for you to compete in a Finale Extravaganza on July 6th at Backstage, Central, Hong Kong.

The prize for the Planetrox winner includes two live performances of 20 minutes on one of the outdoor stages at the Envol et Macadam Festival 2013, airfare tickets for the winning band members plus internal travel, four-star accommodation in central Quebec City for four nights, free pass for the Festival and promotion of their band in festival communications.

今年The Underground很高興再一次與魁北克政府合作，把Planetrox樂隊比賽帶來香港！ 

中國地區比賽部份中，勝出的樂隊（基於中國）將會遠赴魁北克，於9月5日至9月7日的Envol et Macadam - Quebec﹣加拿 大頂尖的原創另類音樂節中向數以千計的樂迷表演，與不同國家傑出的樂隊（包括NOFX）交流！

報名參加了Planetrox的隊伍早前己上載一首原創音樂mp3到Planetrox網站，由國際音樂界專業人仕組成的評審團選出其中10 隊樂隊入圍準決賽。現在你可以參與投選樂隊了！  5月29日至6月12日期間，公眾可透過網上投票選出心水樂隊晉身決賽。

公眾的投票及Envol et Macadam評審團將以50/50的比重選出5隊樂隊晉身決賽， 5隊入圍決賽樂隊將於7月6日於香港中環 Backstage 現場演出作品。
優勝樂隊會獲邀於2013年9月6日或9月7日參與加拿大最大的現場音樂活動-- Envol et Macadam音樂節的演出。大會將提供往 返航班、4晚魁北克市中心四星級酒店住宿、音樂節通行証及宣傳樂隊的機會。

       Dear people of The Underground, Hong Kong's airwaves have recently welcomed a new (and we hope, familiar) voice with the introduction of RTHK Radio 3's new program hosted by our very own Chris B. The show will feature local artists, indie tunes, interviews, and all sorts of other fantasticalness. This will be a great opportunity for local Hong Kong bands to get some additional airtime, as well as a great opportunity for those who listen to the radio to get a break from today's terrible terrible pop music (!)
