   Only a few short weeks until Hong Kong's biggest music festival is upon us! 1st and 2nd December will see Clockenflap (no, we have no idea what that means either) once again bring a variety of music and other artsy-type entertainment to our little shores. What's more, we, being the crafty little things that we are, have managed to secure 2 weekend passes for you, our much-loved subscribers. 在The Underground，我們一直被Macy Gray獨特的聲音迷着，她這次來港我們非常高興，。
自從1999年發布"On How Life Is"，Macy已經積累了一大堆獎項和提名，由全英音樂獎到MTV到Grammys,份量十足.
我們會在12月10日九龍灣國際展貿中心送出兩張演票。

Here at The Underground we've always been fans of Macy Gray's distinctive raspy voice and we're delighted that she's coming to Hong Kong.
Since the release of "On How Life Is" in 1999, Macy has amassed a bunch of awards and nominations from BRIT awards to MTV Video to the Grammys. 
We've got two tickets to give away to her show on 10th December at Star Hall, KITEC in Kowloon Bay.

For over eight years, at all our events, we've had reviewers come and watch the bands perform and then write their honest reviews.  Some reviews are better than others, some longer than other

The Wanch has been bringing live music to Hong Kong since 1987 & is the oldest true music club in Hong Kong. The Wanch offers live music seven nights a week with different performers every night. The Underground is back at The Live House with the final of an intense competition for the best original band in Hong Kong to participate in Midi Festival's China-wide annual Band Competition.  Participating bands get seen by Midi Festival
staff/organisers/scouts etc which is always looking for fresh talent to showcase. 


The finalists are:

Defiant Scum, insidejokes. and TUX

All these bands have made it through to the final on Saturday 17 November 2012.  
Audience votes will count for 50% so come and vote for the best band to represent Hong Kong

in Beijing.   Winning band wins free flights & accommodation
to Beijing to participate in Midi Band Competition with other
winning bands from all over China. 

Remember this is an early event - 7pm to 10pm (the venue has another show booked after ours) so we'll be starting on time with first band on at 7:30pm.

The Underground再次回到The Live House進行Midi Festival全中國年度樂隊比賽決賽，在激烈競爭中尋找將代表香港出戰中國的本地樂隊。

 

Midi Festival經常發掘出色樂隊，這次對本地樂隊來說是很難得的機會！

晉身決賽的樂隊為：

是次比賽已進入決賽階段，於2012年11月17日舉行。當晚現場觀眾投票將佔結果的50%，緊記來投下你神聖的一票！勝出樂隊將獲機票及住宿資助，代表香港出戰北京賽事，與來自中國各地的樂隊比武。

記住，比賽時間為晚上7時至10時。由於比賽後場地將作其他用途，故大會將準時晚上7時30分開始第一隊演出。

Xperience Live comes back to you this November and it's a more intense experience, starting off with the dirty fuzzy tones of Ovary Overdrive, to the return to Hong Kong of Kristina Lao and her melancholic & melodic songs.  Thinking Out Loud (fronted by none other than "Chris B") will bring you squarely back to Earth with their rock tunes and TeamHero finish the night with some emotive alt metal riffy goodness.

As always, it's FREE ENTRY and CHEAP DRINKS!  So come along on 24th November and let some of the best bands in HK help you end the month on a high note....
