Greetings!
We cannot believe that we are already in the month of March! This alone should be a sign to us that we are living in the last days! For this very reason, how fast time is flying by, we are that much more fired up and excited about fulfilling the will of God in our life, marriage and ministry!
What better place to be than to be in the middle of God's will for your life! I remember a time when I was out of God's will for my life, busy trying to live the AMERICAN DREAM and make that big buck! For me it is still as clear as a bell when God begin to deal and speak to me about going back to Rhema to complete the second year I had never completed. When God approached me with His plan (A GOD IDEA) I actually resisted Him in the beginning. WHY? Because I was a sucefssful restaurant manager at TACO BELL doing very well for my self. At the time God had started dealing with me, or when I finally decided to yield to HIM, I was GM with two restaurants and one kios store under my charge; in the process if being given another restaurant! as you can imagine I was saying to myself "God your timing culd not be worse!"
Looking back on all of this I am glad to this day that I made the right decision to follow God's plan and will for my life instead of staying on my on journey to fame and fortune! You know how we bargain with God sometimes so I say to God, back in 1993, "Okay God, I'm going to Rhema this February for Winter Bible Seminar and if I feel the same way I am feeling now about going back I will put my application in while I am there." Can you believ how silly I was thinking! First of all why did I think god would change His mind a stop dealing with me because I was going back to Rhema after many years of not attending this event. If anything He would turn up His dealings, and that is exactly what He did-turned things up!
As I was entering the city limits of Okmulge, Oklahoma, I admediately threw man hands up, while driving, and said "Okay God, I will apply for my second year while here at Rhema!" And the rest is history!
You talk about a set up, this was a set up from the very beggining. Oh, but thank God I yielded to and followed God's will and plan for my life! I fill exactly like David when he said:
Psa 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
I had spent 17 years out of God's perfect will for my life and now that I had this opportunity to enter once again into that perfect place I would not give myself any other alternatives!
For me the road to success is GOD'S ROAD and not my own.
Being in God's perfect will for your life does not mean that things will always be easy, but neither should we look at hard or dificult time as a sign of being out of God's will because if that is the case doesn't look like the Apostle Paul was ever in God's will. On the other hand, neither does living a life where you have no problems at all is a sign in itself that you are in god's will for your life. Then what is the sign that shows us we are in God's perfect will for our life? PEACE in your heart-your spirit man! Learn to follow the peace of God in your spirit, especially when your head is screaming something else. This was one of many things we learned from the life and ministry of Brother Kennerh E. HE'S AFTER THE WORD
I have seen many believers, because of life problems, throw up their hands and and just quit. The problem is, that's exactly what the enemy wants us to do, give up and quit when he begins to attack us. On the other hand Jesus has already warned us ahead of time the enemy's strategy! Let's look at ono of the most eye opening parable that Jesus shared with people while on the earth.
