Invasion Biology: Workshop on Invasive Plants of
Cheshire County Conservation District
Saturday, September 29, 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Chesterfield Town Hollow, Chesterfield, NH
This workshop is an informative presentation on invasive plants commonly found in southwest New Hampshire. It will begin with an indoor presentation and will conclude with a field visit to Friedsam Town Forest (Chesterfield, NH) to examine ongoing efforts by the Conservation Commission and the Conservation District. Please join us to learn how to identify woodland invasive plants, as well as to become familiar with their ecology, threats they pose to native plants, and management strategies.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service, Cheshire County Conservation District, and Cheshire County UNH Cooperative Extension in collaboration with the Chesterfield Conservation Commission and Moosewood Ecological LLC will be sponsoring this workshop.
