SCRS Education Committee Sheds Light on Repair Procedures in Upcoming Board Meeting

Prosser, Washington, March 27, 2012 - The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) proudly welcomes industry participants to join the association for its Open Board of Directors Meeting, scheduled to run from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24th at the Renaissance Hotel, immediately preceding the 30th SCRS Board of Directors Annual Election Meeting.

In addition to an overview of the association's ongoing industry activities and a special presentation from members of the Oklahoma Insurance Department, the board meeting will also include a special educational presentation by Toby Chess and Paul Val on behalf of the SCRS Education Committee.

The SCRS Education Committee will present information pertaining to the advancements in automotive repair, and how repair methodology is driven by changes in both vehicle design and governmental regulations. The session will touch on a wide range of items, including important topics such as aluminum welding and brazing, electronic stability control, airbags, metallurgy and electronic measuring. The presentation will also shed light on the type of repair work produced by repair facilities that have not kept pace with the advancement in technology, and the frightening reality of the jeopardy a consumer can be placed in if proper repair procedures are not recognized by all parties.
