In recent years, we've seen man starting to dabble with the regulators of growth called hormones. Hormone replacement therapy, some female birth control pills all have side effects and some of the possible side effects, unfortunately, may be carcinogenic. It's so much so that today, female hormone replacement therapy has gone out of vogue.

Of course, what most people don't talk about is that hormone therapy was so widely used that it had time to pollute the water, rivers, lakes, and oceans. The city sewage processing plants basically clean out detergents as their primary concern, but when it comes to drugs and hormones, there really isn't any technology to remove these things. So they are allowed to be dumped back into the environment. Other chemicals can also have hormonal effects, including substances commonly used in cosmetics (parabens), weed killers such as atrazine, solvents used in plastics, etc., and these end up in the environment as well.

This is why we have news reports on multi-legged frogs in the Midwest, hermaphrodite alligators (having both male and female sex organs), lesbian seagulls as well as whole oceans and rivers full of schools of female fish. This is an observed fact! Seeing how this is affecting the wild life, what is it doing to our bodies?

Hormones are critical elements in the balancing of one's metabolism. Too little and you have an atrophy or malfunctioning organ and too much can potentially overwork an organ and worse yet, create cancer or mutate the body.

This is why when I hear about hormone therapies to lose weight, or birth control, or menstrual handling, I always cringe because I know that the track history of humans creating a good hormonal balancing pill is as close to absolute zero as you can possibly get. All of these things are scary just because it is so difficult to give the right amount at the right moment - it's all guesswork. And that's just being flat out truthful no matter what the scientific claims are.

Sticking to Mother Nature's original solutions of hormone balancing is usually a far safer bet than trying to forcefully manipulate one's hormones.
