Greetings!
"All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on." ~Henry Ellis The art of living. Springtime holds the promise of freshness, spring cleaning, airing out the winter stuffiness and metaphorical cobwebs. To allow ourselves to open to new possibilities we must also step into the place of unknowing. And that's the challenge, isn't it? It is hard to let go of the familiar as we seek the possibilities of spring.
Mindfulness speaks of letting go without expectation...a spring cleaning of the mind. So this month start small, practice letting go of just one thing and see if you feel a bit lighter!
Wishing you a spring of letting go, Pam

Mindfulness in an Age of Complexity
| |
Mindfulness can help us to navigate our complex world through learning to be nimble and responsive to our ever changing environment. Mindfulness training has entered business, education, professional sports and healthcare worlds with increasing success and interest. Recently Harvard Professor Ellen Langer was interviewed on her four decades of work in the field of mindfulness research, and why mindfulness is essential for our ability to continue to thrive in a fast-paced, complex society.

What Does Resilience Mean to You?
|
|
1. the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape;2. the capacity to recover quickly from adversity, difficulties; toughness. This may be the dictionary definition of resilience, but what does resilience mean to you personally? Is there a quote or saying that is meaningful to you, perhaps one that has given you insight through times of challenge or change?
Thank you so much for the wonderful quotes on resilience my readers have sent in over the past two months. They are surprisingly varied and each speaks to particular qualities of resilience, which is fascinating. I am still compiling the quotes and catagorizing them into subtopics. Please continue to send in your favorite quotes by emailing them to me at [email protected]. Feel free to send in multiple quotes. Please attribute the quote(s) to the original author, if known. For each quote selected for inclusion in the book, I will send you an autographed copy of the book when it is published in 2014.
