Meditation Maintenance

Meditation Maintenance Sessions
are a great way to give yourself a monthly self-care "tune-up" by joining with fellow meditators to discuss insights and challenges of your practice.
You are welcome to attend each month or simply on an occasional basis. You will find a supportive and welcoming respite in the midst of your busyness.
Come sit with us and share a cup of "tea for your soul".
Winter Schedule
Evening sessions meet 7-9 PM Wed, Dec 12 Wed, Jan 9 Wed, Feb 13 Wed, Mar 13
Daytime sessions meet 12:30-2:30 PM Fri, Dec 14 Fri, Jan 11 Fri, Feb 8 Fri, Mar 8 Both evening and daytime sessions are held at Stress Resources' office (97 Lowell Rd, Concord, MA). Please pre-register for sessions as space is limited. Meditation Maintenance sessions are $15 per session. Register by e-mail or by phone (978-369-5243).

Stress Resources' popular 8-week group Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program will be offered beginning in January 2013.
This is the course you have been reading about and has
been show to have a positive effect on concentration, focus, emotion, physical well-being and resiliency.
Stress Resources' offers both an evening class, beginning on January 24 and a daytime class, beginning on January 25 to meet a variety of schedules. Continuing education units are available for nurses and social workers.

Tea for the Soul

I had the opportunity to attend a retreat with fellow healthcare providers last month where we shared ideas for nurturing caring and compassion for ourselves and others.
I had an "ah-ha" moment when Joan Vitello, Associate Chief Nurse at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital related a simple, yet profoundly meaningful gesture initiated by the clinical pastoral care team. Called "Tea for the Soul", a tray with tea cups and tea is brought to a nursing unit by the pastoral care team and the staff is encouraged to take time to refresh, reflect and center themselves for a few minutes within their busy day.
How profoundly simple, compassionate and healing for caregivers--a powerful acknowledgement that they, too, need and deserve care.
You will be happy to know that tea for the soul will now be a regular component of the Stress Resources' Meditation Maintenance sessions...thanks, Joan!

Stress Resources offers individual and semi-private training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Sign up for semi-private sessions with a friend and one of you trains for 1/2 price ($200 savings).
Flexible MBSR/Private and Semi-Private Mindfulness Training: This unique option offered by Stress Resources allows the individual to set the pace for training but maintains the essential framework of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in private or semi-private sessions.
