I used to live at the top of this "stair mountain" in New York. To get to my co-op, I'd have to climb over 100 steps.

Everyday...every time I came home. Rain, sleet or snow; exhausted, sick or in pain; in order to get home, I had to find a way to make it up these stairs. If I focused on the very top the task was daunting. It was as if I would never make it. But when I would concentrate on one step at a time, I'd be there before I could start to complain. That's what God is saying to you today. "Follow Me, my child, one step at a time, this is all I require of you. In fact, it's the only way to move through this world of space and time." So try readjusting your focus...before you start to complain.

When we consider our uniqueness among other believers, it's as if we often try to measure who is the biggest or the best. It can become truly exhausting trying to overcome our insecurities. Even as ministers, there's competition.

But the Bible teaches in

2 Corinthians 13:5, that we must examine ourselves and not others. If you are in motion walking in your divine Purpose, then lay on His bosom and cherish the truth that you are a child of God, not a competitor for His love. Trust me, there's enough of Him to go around. No matter our size, we are all important.
