Colts Neck Reformed Church and St. Rose of Lima partner with Habitat to build home in Freehold

Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County is pleased to announce a faith collaborative with two local churches in its Monmouth County service area. Habitat has partnered with the Colts Neck Reformed Church and St. Rose of Lima in Freehold to build a home for a local Habitat for Humanity partner family in Freehold.

Colts Neck Reformed Church has had a longstanding relationship with Habitat for over a decade. The parish was recently recognized as an honoree at Habitat's 3rd annual Golf for Homes Golf Outing in Marlboro. St. Rose of Lima in Freehold has also been a generous community and faith partner of Habitat. The two faith communities will partner and provide volunteers for the build projected to be complete by the end of summer.

As part of the project, both parishes have committed to raise the necessary funding to offset the entire cost of construction of the home. The project will be led by volunteers from both churches on Center St. with the next phase of construction set to begin at the end of April. St. Rose of Lima has created a commemorative shingle program and will host its own Pasta Luncheon of May 3 in Freehold to continue to raise funds of the build.
