It has been an extraordinary year for us at Habitat for Humanity, we successfully merged the Western and Northeastern affiliates to form Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County. We are bigger, better equipped and even more committed to fulfilling our mission. We continue to work with families impacted by Hurricane Sandy and have served 88 families since the storm made possible by our supporters.

We have received a tremendous outpouring of support and we are grateful for you who continue to believe in our ability to fulfill our vision - a world where everyone has a decent place to live. As we bow our heads this season in thanksgiving for the gifts of home, family, and food, we ask that you please remember those that are working to return to their homes and restore their lives.
We know that our work is far from complete as we work to serve those in need in our area. It is in the spirit of hope that we invite you to continue to help us bring more families home by continuing to support our mission. The hope for a better life, made possible by supporters like you.
Yours in service,
Nancy

Support #GivingTuesday on December 2 and enter to win tickets to Radio City's Christmas Spectacular and $100 Visa Gift Card!
On December 2, Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County is excited to participate
#GivingTuesday. Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.
Taking place December 2 - the Tuesday after Thanksgiving - #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping.
All supporters of #GivingTuesday will be entered in a random drawing for 2 tickets to Radio City Christmas Spectacular in NYC on Thursday, December 11th at 5 pm and a $100 Visa Gift Card. All donations made from 11/25-12/2 are eligible for the drawing. One winner will be selected on December 3rd.

Instead of a Christmas party, join us for a Team Building Day! Build bonds among coworkers, family or friends, while giving local deserving families the hand-up they need to achieve home ownership!
Team Building Days are an opportunity for groups to have an enriched team-building experience while supporting Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County through volunteering on a Habitat construction site and contributing to the cost of materials. Building with Habitat in Monmouth produces tangible results.
Volunteers can drive past the house years later and say "we helped build it!" Come be a part of the rebuilding after Sandy and together let's get the job done! Build days are Wednesdays thru Saturdays from 9:00 - 3:30pm.
Contact Lori at lschneider@habitatmonmouth.org or 732-728-0441, ext. 314, for more information on scheduling a team building day.

Habitat for Humanity reaches one million family milestone

Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 1 million families - representing 5 million people - improve their living conditions through Habitat's housing since the organization was founded in 1976.
"We are delighted to achieve this incredible milestone and have seen the positive influence a stable home can have on families," said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. "Because of a house, families have better access to health, financial security, education and employment opportunities. We want to continue building impact so that millions more people can have decent, safe places to live."
During its 2014 fiscal year, Habitat for Humanity served more than 300,000 families - about 1.6 million people in more than 70 countries - through home construction, renovations and critical home repairs or increased access to improved shelter through products and services.
Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County is so proud to be apart of this mission and contribute to the impact that Habitat has had worldwide.
