We Still Have A Dream: End Racism
January 18, 2015, All Day
As co-founder of Trinity Church Boston's Anti-Racism
Team, it's exciting January 18, 2015 is finally upon us!
A sub-committee of my team has been hard at work creating the first ever Ann Berry Bonnyman Symposium to honor the legacy of Trinity's first female rector. The Trinity Anti-Racism Team was commissioned under Ann's leadership and this is our first Symposium living into her dream of racial reconciliation and healing.
If you're looking for a way to wake up to the current reality of racial injustice and deepen your understanding of structural racism then come to Trinity Church this Sunday, January 18th.
The day begins with Sermon's by Bishop Michael Curry at 9 and 11:15am with a forum led by Tim Wise in between both services. From 1:30-4:30pm, an afternoon educational symposium includes a keynote address by Marion Wright Edelman (Children's Defense Fund) and panelists: Reverend Liz Walker, Debby Irving (author and educator), Tim Wise (author and activist) and Bishop Michael Curry (author) as well as music, reflection and personal commitments time.
