DigniCap Reduces Hair Loss for
Chemotherapy Patients

Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center is the first cancer center in Michigan to offer the DigniCap - a scalp cooling system that helps reduce hair loss in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

"The Bronson Health Foundation is grateful to our community for its generosity which allows us to bring this technology to Battle Creek," says Terry Morrow, vice president of development and community health. "We are happy to support this initiative with the hope that our patients battling breast cancer have an opportunity to benefit from cutting-edge technology that can diminish an unpleasant side effect during treatment."

Bronson Seeks Community Input to Identify
Area's Most Pressing Health Needs

Every three years, Bronson Methodist Hospital gathers input from Kalamazoo County residents in an effort to identify and prioritize the area's most urgent unmet health needs. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate by taking a brief and confidential online survey.

The survey for this year's Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) in Kalamazoo County is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CHNAII. It can be completed in about five minutes and all responses remain anonymous.

New this year, Bronson Children's Hospital is piloting a youth version of the survey in Kalamazoo to gain a better understanding of the health needs specific to youth. If you have a child age 12-19, please encourage them to complete the Youth Health Needs Assessment survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YHNAI
