Bronson Health Foundation Welcomes Three New Board Members

The Bronson Health Foundation is pleased to welcome its newest members to the foundation Board of Directors: Ben Ipema, Von Washington Jr., and Joshua Weiner.

Josh Weiner is the Chief Executive Officer of the Meyer C. Weiner Company, a real estate and development firm, a graduate of the University of Michigan and a licensed real estate broker. Josh and his wife Pamela reside in Kalamazoo, MI.

CSM Group is a construction management firm in Kalamazoo with national experience managing both large and small projects. The company has been a valued supporter of the Bronson Health Foundation through donations to extraordinary projects including such as the Bronson Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that opened in 2007. Most recently, CSM was a sponsor for the 2013 Bronson Children's Hospital Walk & Run and donated its expertise in the creation of a Comfort Suite at Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center.

For the sixth year in a row, Fancy's Salon, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, held several fundraising events this past fall to support area cancer patients. One was a 'pink party' at the Moonraker West Restaurant on Columbia Avenue with a portion of food specials and tips going to a cancer fund at Bronson Battle Creek's Cancer Care Center.

Another event involved the local salon earmarking a portion of its charges in October for pink hair extensions and pink glitter tips for local cancer programs. It also sold tickets for drawings for more than 15 unique gift baskets.

As a result of Fancy's efforts, the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center received $3,475 for a new fund. The Cancer Care Special Needs Fund provides transportation, durable medical equipment, and other special needs for cancer patients. To read more, follow this link.
