"IF GOD BE FOR YOU..."
Romans 8:31-39: What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son for us but gave him up for us all, won't he also surely give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? Will God? No! He is the one who has forgiven us and given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? Will Christ? No! For he is the one who died for us and came back to life again for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us there in heaven. 35 Who then can ever keep Christ's love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn't love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us? 36 No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day-we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; 37 but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. 38 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, 39 or where we are-high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean-nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.
The song I've included this week is a song that I heard at church on Sunday. I felt to share it with you this week. I want to encourage you this week that God is for you; He's never left your side and never will leave your side. It doesn't matter what you've gone through, God wants to use you and He is for you. The Pastor made a statement on Sunday, "If you're not dead, God's not done." Don't ever think that God can't use you because of your past or even because of your current situation.
If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? That's a powerful verse and we all face times in life where we need to remind ourselves of that Scripture. You may be in a time when it seems like everything is working against you, but I can assure you that God is on your side and if He's on your side, who can ever be against you?
I don't normally do this but I want to ask each one of you to keep Kristen in your prayers. She's been dealing with some health issues for quite some time now. Extreme dizziness to the point where she can't drive and can hardly go anywhere. We have some great doctors and I thank God for them but even the doctors can't pinpoint the exact problem and the exact solution. When you get to the point that the doctor's don't even know what to do than you become a prime candidate for a miracle. Many of you reading this are personal friends of ours; some are acquaintances and some we don't even know. I ask that you would take time this week to say a prayer for her, it's time for healing.
The reason why I share this is because we both have a huge calling on our lives and I'm not the type to spiritualize everything but I believe the devil is using this to try to stall what we are here for. We know God is for us. Stephen's Gate developed when we lived in Maine. We had been spoken over more than once that we were gate keepers and we actually lived at the gate, between Maine and Canada. I was thinking today of how that played into where we are living now in Georgia so I began to do some research on prophetic words that have been spoken over Georgia. I came across this one spoken during Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets 50 state tour: "Georgia is one of My gates in the nation; it's a governmental gate -- kingdom authority that has been lying latent, unused over this state. God is about to resurrect it."
When you have a call and purpose on your life, God will place you in areas where your gifting and purpose is needed. I never once thought of Georgia as a gate until I read this.
My point, again, in all of this is to say. Never feel like you can't be used where you are or in the midst of your circumstances. If your heart is to do God's will, He will use you in whatever place you find yourself.
If God be for you, who can be against you? Listen to this song this week and be encouraged, God Bless!
