"EVEN THE WINDS AND WAVES OBEY HIM!"

Matt 8:23-27: Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" 26 Jesus responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly all was calm. 27 The disciples were amazed. "Who is this man?" they asked. "Even the winds and waves obey him!" NLT

Last week I wrote about what the Lord spoke to me about, the tides are turning (if you missed it, check the archives at the bottom of the page) This week, I want to continue along that same theme. It seems like last week's Stephen's Gate spoke to a lot of you and where you were at in the season of life you're in right now. I truly believe we are in the time where God is going to move on your behalf and the tides are going to turn.

What I want to encourage you with this week is that some of you may be experiencing some high winds and rough waves as you await the turning of the tides. Sometimes the winds can get so high and the waves so rough that they cause us to fear, but I believe today Jesus is saying to you just like he said to the disciples in this passage, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith". Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly all was calm.

The same Jesus that rebuked the wind and waves for the disciples can rebuke the wind and waves in your life. I believe you will be saying, "Suddenly all was calm." There's no other religion in the world that can say their god can rebuke winds and waves but we can say even the winds and waves obey my God!

You may be at a point where you are afraid, you feel like you're going to drown, you feel like you have little faith. Call out to Jesus and watch as a sudden calm comes over your situation.

Now, how does this tie in with last week? The Lord gave me that word last week and if the winds and waves obey Him at the sound of His voice then the tides will turn at the sound of His voice. He's already spoken it, just believe and watch.

He's rebuking your winds and waves right now, there's a sudden calm coming, and the tides are turning!

Blessings ~ Steve
