"

YOUR JERICHO WALLS

WILL FALL"

Josh 6:2-5: But the Lord said to Joshua, "I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. 3 You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. 4 Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram's horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns. 5 When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams' horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town."

Josh 6:15-16: On the seventh day the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times. 16 The seventh time around, as the priests sounded the long blast on their horns, Joshua commanded the people, "Shout! For the Lord has given you the town!

Josh 6:20: When the people heard the sound of the rams' horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it.

I've been hearing the Lord speak for a week or so now, "Your Jericho walls will fall, just praise me." What are the walls of Jericho in your life? Anything that is separating you from your promise or destiny is a wall. The Lord said to Joshua "I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors." The Lords promise to Joshua was to have Jericho; it was part of his destiny. There was only one problem, a wall, a large wall separating him from his promise.

So, the Lord gave him direction on what to do. He gave him very specific instructions on how to get beyond the wall separating him from his destiny. The people of Jericho were so afraid of the Israelites that they locked the city up tight. The enemy in your life is so afraid of what you will do and accomplish that he's built this wall between you and your promise and locked it up tight. The Israelites marched around the city seven days and on the seventh day they marched around the town seven times. Seven is the number of perfection and completeness.

I believe many of you are on your seventh day making your seventh trip around the wall separating you from God's promise. It was important for the Israelites to take every step necessary but the key in the end was their shout. Why did they shout? Verse 16 says: "Shout! For the Lord has given you the town!" It was their way of praise because they knew the town beyond the wall was the Lord's promise for them. What the Lord has been speaking to me is praise me because you know that beyond your wall is your promise and it belongs to you. So, my encouragement to you this week is just praise Him, shout if you want to, as you do you will see your walls of Jericho fall. The enemy's wall is no match for the power of praise. Is there a wall separating you from your promise and destiny?  It may seem large and too strong to break through because it is too large and strong to break through on your own. Just praise God and let your praise tear down your wall.

God Bless! ~ Steve
