"AT THE NAME OF JESUS"

Philippians 2:9-11: Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

What I have for this week's Stephen's Gate goes along with the last one I wrote in dealing with the blood of Jesus being your one answer. Many of you, if not all of you, know that my wife Kristen went in the hospital late last week with some heart issues, that is why I did not get a Stephen's Gate out last week. I'm happy to report that after all of the tests, the doctors say her heart is perfect and resembles the heart of a twenty year old! During these past few days and mainly during my time driving to the hospital in Bangor the Lord kept speaking some things to me and one of them was this song that I've included this week. It's a song that's been around for a while but it is so powerful and true. This song kept going through my mind over and over so I found it on my iPod and listened to it over and over.

As I drove and prayed the blood of Jesus over Kristen and her heart, the Lord kept speaking to me: "Just speak the name of Jesus over this situation." Just like the song says, there's something about that name. It carries an authority like no other name; it's the name above all names. Kings and kingdoms will all pass away, but there's just something about that name.

The Lord then reminded me of this Scripture in Philippians. There is coming a day when at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. What I want to tell you this week. It doesn't matter what you're going through or what you're dealing with. When you confess the name of Jesus, every demon and devil in your life MUST bow their knee! They cannot stand up to the name of Jesus. So just speak the name of Jesus, don't say anything else, He already knows your need, just speak His name.

Maybe you're dealing with some things in your life that are a result of some choices you've made. You're dealing with consequences. I want you to know this week that Jesus is bigger than choices you've made and He's bigger then consequences. Forget about what you've done wrong to create your circumstance and speak the name of Jesus. Let Him deliver you from wrong choices and let Him take care of the consequences, and He will because He loves you that much.

Take some time to listen to this song and simply focus on the name of Jesus and watch as situations, sicknesses, bondages, whatever it may be, bow their knees at the name above all names. Feel free to send me your testimonies, God Bless!

By Kristen Young
In this novel, 45 Minutes, you will be taken on a compelling journey of Anthony Michaels' life, which is oddly typical until he faces an encounter with eternity. See yourself through the eyes of the characters as you read about painful life lessons, true forgiveness, answered prayers and the love of God that conquers all.

"Kristen's style of writing will capture you and keep you reading as different events take place both spiritually and physically. As you read 45 Minutes, you will see what can possibly happen if we choose to forgive those who have hurt us. You will also see firsthand, that making things right with others before it is too late is a must, no matter what the circumstance." -Steve Lewis-Author
