Employee Profile
Debbie Avolin
Debbie Avolin is one of the longest serving employees currently at the Salvation Army. Ms. Avolin started at the Salvation Army in 1998 as a Social Worker/Case Worker for the Life Sufficiency program, and was promoted to Social Services Director in 2001. "I truly believe in what the Salvation Army stands for," Ms. Avolin commented, "The services we provide have a huge impact on the individuals and families that we are privileged to serve - it gives them a gentle lift up until they can get back up on their feet." Ms. Avolin is the first person to recognize that it is often difficult for individuals to ask for help in their time of need, and she ensures that every person that comes through the doors of the Salvation Army is treated with the upmost dignity and respect. Ms. Avolin explains this, saying "We're just continuing William Booth's mission of helping those individuals in need, in crisis, without judgment."

Customer Appreciation Day
Special Events at the Family Store
The Family Store recently held its annual Customer Appreciation Day, in an effort to thank our customers for their loyalty and support. As always, the Salvation Army uses sales from the Family Store to fund many of its outreach programs; we transform reusable goods into much needed funding to help underprivileged members of our community. This year, Paulette of Zebulon, NC won the drawing for a $250 voucher to the Salvation Army Family Store. Congratulations, Paulette! |
