December 1st from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Each year the school hosts a Craft Fair with over 100 vendors who fill the school from 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. on the first Saturday of the month. The elementary building is turned into a Christmas shopping plaza with refreshments available in the cafeteria and vendors lining the halls, classrooms, and gym. Come and enjoy a day of shopping at OLMC!
Band & Choir Performance
December 4th and December 6th
Enter into the Christmas season with this choral/instrumental performance of our band and choir students. The school assembly performance is on December 4th at 2:00p.m. Parents are invited to this performance as well as the evening one, but are asked to allow their children to dismiss at regular 3:00 carpool. The encore performance is on the evening of December 6th at 6:30 for parents, relatives and friends. Performances are held in the gym.
Winter Performance 4th/5th Grades
December 11th and December 13th
Each year, students in grades1-3 and 4-5 turn their music lessons into a performance and alternate between a winter and spring program. This year, students in grades 4-5 will be performing Christmas Carols From Around the World. Come and enjoy our elementary students! The school assembly performance is on December 11th at 2:00pm, to which parents are invited. The evening performance for parents is on December 13th at 6:30pm. Performances are in the gym.
Christmas Celebrations
December 19th
The final day before break is the traditional day for the 8th grade etiquette luncheon at St. Michael's Hall. Following a unit of study in etiquette, the students are treated to a plated meal and are encouraged to engage in proper dinner conversation using proper utensils for each dish. Parents of the eighth graders are often eager to help serve at this event.
On the same day, beginning at 2:00, each class enjoys a Christmas party, which is organized and facilitated by the room parents. Please contact your room parent to find out how you can help celebrate on this day. All are welcome!
Re-Registration in January
Re-registration for the 2013-2014 school year will occur immediately following Christmas break. Typically, registration costs $130 per student. Returning families receive an offer of a significantly discounted rate if they re-register early. Look for dates and deadlines in the January editions of Our Lady's Word.
