Tech Knights compete at FLL State Champioship
We are proud to report that our BSS Tech Knights represented us well at the recent state robotics competition in Greensboro.  This is our team's first year of competition and our fifth graders were competing against teams of mainly eighth graders who've competed together for years.  The Tech Knights still finished in the middle of the pack of over 60 teams and we are extremely proud of their hard work!

Dear BSS Families,

Today, Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent.  This year, Pope Francis' Lenten guide makes us think differently as we fast and give up things.  An excerpt from his message states:

"Whenever our interior life becomes caught up in its own interests and concerns, there is no longer room for others, no place for the poor... but when we fast from this indifference, we can begin to feast on love. In fact, Lent is the perfect time to learn how to love again.
