October Fashion Forward has been postponed while taking part in preparations for Santa Fe Fashion Week. Join us Nov 8th - 11th for all of the excitement, networking, and learning.

 

AAC is also preparing to take Fashion Forward Seminars' on the road! If you would like us to visit your area of New Mexico, please let us know. A complete listing of seminars will be on the Abq Apparel Center website soon. Please visit the Learning Center section of AAC website fore information.

Do you have a favorite pattern

you want to sew?  Are there parts of pattern making/altering and/or sewing you don't understand or want additional help with?  

 

Award Winning Fashion Designer and Albuquerque Apparel Center president Melissa Lea will explain things 1on1 and teach you how to accomplish your design dreams!

  

Your first visit, a one hour consultation to share what it is you would like to design, is FREEBring patterns, pictures or sketches of your favorite designs and inspirations along with a list of the designing skills you would like to learn.

 

Classes are a mix of seam and finishing techniques, pattern drafting techniques using industry tools and constructing your finished garment.  All you need to bring is a pattern, thread, pins, scissors, seam ripper, and fabric.  Muslin is available for purchase in class.

 

Eliminate the stress of hauling in your sewing machine ~ You can use ours!

 

$20.00 per hour

Albuquerque Apparel Center has moved! We are still located in Nob Hill and making preparations to move into a larger, more appropriate space to fit the center's needs.

 

For now, classes and seminars will be held in various locations throughout Albuquerque as well as other areas throughout New Mexico.  Please refer to the Learning Center section of our website for details and locations of future events.
