More than Two Million Patients; More than 40 Million Encounters

 

The first dashboard numbers for 2015 are in!   We now have more than two million unique patients in our WISHIN Pulse master patient index - that's double what we had just four months ago!  And the number of encounters for these patients has exceeded forty million - a number that's been growing by approximately seven million encounters per month!


Registration Now Open for Health Literacy Summit


 

Registration is now open for the 2015 Wisconsin Health Literacy Summit, "Better Health through Better Communication." This event, sponsored by Wisconsin Health Literacy, will be held April 14-15, 2015, at Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison.

 

Six general sessions, twenty-five different breakout workshops, three pre-Summit programs, and a posters presentation offer information to improve chronic disease management, patient engagement and satisfaction, clinical outcomes and systems health literacy through improved communication.

 

Summit information is available at www.bit.ly/hlsummit.  An early bird discount is offered through March 17. CME credit is available.

 

Among plenary presenters are Laura Noonan, MD, Levine Children's Hospital/Carolinas Health System; Michael Wolf, PhD/MPH, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; Rima Rudd, MSPH, ScD, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; Brian Zikmund-Fisher, PhD, Professor of Health Behavior, Health Education and Internal Medicine, University of Michigan, and Jackie Taylor, President of the Commission on Adult Basic Education.
