"COME TOGETHER RIGHT NOW OVER ME"

CSUSM was established by legislative action in 1989; I

The library plaza was the best spot for capturing their attention.

started preaching here in
the nineties. Initially, I had outstanding meetings here. The last couple of years had not been as lively as the early years. However, today was a renewal. When Pat started there seemed to be little movement on campus although a few stopped to dialogue with her. Meanwhile, Richard Schaffer joined us. He had arrived on campus and had been preaching and talking to people since 10 AM. He suggested that we move to another location. Cindy began preaching in front of the library and drew a large crowd. Just like in real estate; location, location, location is critical in open air preaching.
Sis. Pat started the day with some Gospel dialogue in another location and later joined in the library action.
A boy said as I was preaching, "You have brought this campus together against you. I have met three new people today." A female followed up by stating, "This happens once a year; when Brother Jed comes to campus, everyone starts talking about God."
"...when Brother Jed comes to campus, everyone starts talking about God," CSSM student.
On the day of Jesus crucifixion "Herod and Pilate became friends-before they had been enemies."-Luke 23:12. As Matthew Henry said, "The friendships of wicked men are often formed by union in wickedness. They agree in little, except in enmity to God, and contempt of Christ."
Bro. Richard is good at finding the best preaching places.
For almost three hours an Oriental girl stood beside us and repeated cried, "Hail Satan!" Many students came up to her and encouraged her in her blaspheme.
At 4:30 we left the crowd with Richard Schaffer. Of all the open-air preachers I know Richard is the most unassuming. He fits in with our team well.
Bro. Jed reads the "Story of Dick, Jane and Sally" to CSSM students.
Like almost every other school day, we were the main event on campus. We brought the campus together against us. One of these days we hope to bring them together for us. Paul said, "Imitate me, even as I imitate Christ."--1 Cor 11:1.
"...bringing the campus together..."

The female to the right of Sis. Cindy yelled "Hail Satan" for a long time.

SATAN'S TIRADE
March 4, 2014, Cal State San Marcos
A lesbian witch screamed at Sister Pat, "You have invaded my territory. You do not have a right to be here. The dorms are mine. The library is mine. The plaza is mine." She threatened to beat up Sister Pat. I don't remember hearing a female use the F word and the MF word so much. She referred to her own mother, whom she had told about our ministry, wanting to come out and beat us up. She directed the same threatening tirade against me yesterday, while she was on her cell phone with her mother. Both days her friends had to hold her back. The devil speaking through her; he was extremely disturbed and angry that we had occupied his campus.
"The devil disguises himself as an angel of light," Bro. Jed.
The campuses have become Satan's greatest stronghold. Virtually unchallenged he has captured the minds of professors and students. Paul warned, "The devil disguises himself as an angle of the light." But in fact he is the Prince of Darkness. We are shining a great light in the darkness of the universities and the devil is mad. "His rage we can endure; we know his doom is sure."
Satan has captured the minds of many professors and students.
We gathered a large crowd over the noon hour, when there are no scheduled classes. It was intense as several Christians were encircling me, while the unbelievers were in the outer circle. The Christians were all pleading for sin. The most vocal said God is interested in changing your heart, not your actions. He does not understand that when the heart (will) is changed, our behavior is changed. When classes started again at 1 PM virtually everyone suddenly left.
"Students, God is interested in changing your heart," Bro. Jed.
We were able to gather another audience as the next break, which was about 2:15. Sister Pat addressed a group of ten on the wall, which included the lesbian witch in whom the devil expressed himself. Yesterday, it was before a large crowd; today he revealed himself to the audience of ten. He must be getting desperate; we are making inroads into his kingdom.
"Today we made inroads into Satan's kingdom!"

THE MESSAGE OF LENT
March 5, 2014, San Diego State University
A large sign asked, WHAT ARE YOU GIVING UP FOR LENT? People were presented the opportunity to write on the sign; they wrote, soda, beer, meat, Starbucks, video games, fast food, etc. Cindy opened by shouting, "You must give up everything and follow Jesus." Numerous students had ashes on their forehead. But have they given up all their sins? Some who had the ashes were pleading for sin.
Students sold condoms to our crowd to raise funds for the Gay/Lesbian organization.
This evening we received the following email from Cindy's first convert, Phil, a Jewish boy, who made the decision for Christ at the University of Illinois in the late 70's. He wrote:
I was thinking of you both today. I went to church to get ashes, and they needed an extra person to distribute the ashes. Basically to make the sign of the cross on people's foreheads.
I had two things to say (alternately) as I administered the ashes.
1) Repent, and believe in the Gospel
2) Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.
I thought of both of you when I first saw those words. I don't think that I have said "repent" to so many people in my life as I did tonight. Phil

Student stood next to Sis. Cindy mocking so she incorporated him into her message. He was starved for attention.
We had a good crowd for most of the afternoon. The police came out, as they usually do in this spot in front of the library, claiming that they had received a lot of calls of complaint. We had to deal with the same policeman last year. Here merely asked us not to speak to loudly. He had to defend our right to speak to many.
"Have you ever considered that your sins are hurting God?"
A Jewish boy, who had just came out of a Bible study of the OT, asked Cindy, "Why do not Jews believe in Jesus?" Cindy had the opportunity to witness to him and covered many scriptures including Isaiah 53. Later the Jew said to Sister Pat, "I would like to become a Christian but I am concerned about the opposition from my family."
Cindy's opening sermon spoke out against "whores." She emphasized two points: "One, not every girl who is dressed like a whore is a whore." Being that it was a warm sunny day in Southern California many if not most of the girls were dressed like women of the streets. "Two, all the girls on campus are not whores, only the ones who are having sex outside of marriage." A few sign carrying homosexuals joined the crowd. Sexual immorality was the big issue today. Women's roles were also an issue.
We had a number of good questions from Jewish students today.
As we were leaving campus, Cindy said, "I noticed conviction on their faces when I asked, 'Have you ever considered that your sins might be hurting God?'"
Bro. Richard dramatically quoted the parables of Jesus.
This evening we had dinner with Joe and Shawna a young married couple. Joe heard me when he was an atheistic undergraduate at Arizona State and ten years ago and Shawna heard me at the University of Indiana, when she was still an atheist. They have been friends on Facebook. We enjoyed hearing of their conversions to Christianity after their college days.
Sexual immorality and women's roles were a big issue today.
Today's agnostic may be tomorrow's believer, if we are faithful to preach to Gospel.
We had a good sized crowd for most of the afternoon. Seeds were sown...Lord bring a harvest!

THE SHREW
March 6, 2014 San Diego State
There were food stands set up next to the free speech area
Some students were waiting for Bro. Jed's arrival today.
in front of the Library. Already, they were sitting waiting for my preaching. I did not have to raise my voice or make a strong effort to draw an audience. I captured their attention immediately. It was not long before an idiot started reading from a book of the Church of the Subgenius. I waited about 15 minutes until the audience grew weary of him.
After Sister Pat took her turn a middle-aged Hispanic wretch started railing against me and was in my face for a long time. I did not try to raise my voice above hers because the police here are sensitive to the noise factor. I videoed her while she was face to face with me; she screamed on and on. When she tried to grab my I-phone and hit me, I called her an appropriate name.
Mocker inflated a condom.
I decided to call on Richard in the hope that a change of speaker would settle her down. However, this hot-blooded fiend railed against Richard. Finally, the police came and called Richard and the woman aside, while I started preaching again. The policeman came up and asked me if I wanted to take any action against the mad woman. I said I was not interested in having her arrested since I was not hurt and my phone was OK. [Later I realized that she had bent the frames of my glasses out of shape.] The policeman was respectful. Often times in these situations the police will blame me.
Bro. Richard had a fruitful one-on-one with a Jewish student.
For the last hour I had about 10 around me of which most were professing Christians telling me that I needed to show love instead of resorting to fear tactics.
Demon possessed woman attacked Bro. Jed and bent his glasses. See video below.
In the evening the following I received the following comment when I posted my report on Facebook:
Now I know why the Lord had me stay away. He doesn't need me to rebuke Jed. He used this woman and I am glad I obeyed the Lord! PRAISE JESUS!
The devil was mad because there were a lot of listeners on this campus.
The above is an interesting and telling post from a San Diego street preacher, Neil Konitshek. He has been in my face when I have preached at UCSD in past years. Remarkably, Neil identifies with this Hispanic shrew claiming she is acting in his place.
One year he was literally foaming at the mouth as he barked at me. There was another one of his breed dogging me at the University of Arizona a fortnight ago. There are others vilifying me on Facebook. These fulminators remind me of a neighbor's yapping toy dog, who relentlessly nips at your heels. They are a nuisance; but what do you do?

ATHEIST INVOKES GOD
March 7, 2014, University of California, San Diego
Late in the afternoon an atheist challenged me to prove the existence of God without referring to the Bible. I gave him the design argument; however, he kept interrupting. Finally, someone asked, "Who designed God?" I explained, "The God of the Bible has no beginning; he has no end. Only effects need causes; God is not an effect. He is the causeless cause."
The exasperated atheist said, "O my God!"
I asked, "Why are you invoking God? I thought you did not believe God exists. I have never heard an atheist say, when frustrated, "Oh, no God."
Why do atheists say, "Oh my God?" if they don't believe he exists?
He did not merely say, "Oh, God!" He said, "Oh my God!" Thus he made God personal. Atheists intuitively know God exists but they refuse to submit to him. Their problem is not intellectual but moral. The fact is that they hate God.
"You intuitively know that God exists," Bro. Jed.
Sister Pat asked a man, "Who is your God?" He answered, "I am a Hindu; we have thousands of gods."
Sister Pat inquired of a Jew, "What bar mitzvah verses did you memorized?" He answered, "Deuteronomy 7:12-16." However, he memorized the Hebrew text. He had never read the verses in English; he listened attentive as Sister Pat read these verses from the KJV Bible. By summoning a memory, the memory can bring conviction of sin.
Summoning a memory can bring conviction of sin.
Cindy had started the meeting at noon and really worked to gain a crowd. It helped when a student held a sign beside her which read, "The Secular student alliance loves you!" She mainly built a crowd with James, who kept asking questions. Later James told me how much he appreciated my
This student admitted that we gave him a lot to think about.
message and commended Cindy for her ability to gain peoples' attention.
When I was speaking the man with the secular sign lifted it to cover my face to hinder others from hearing. However, an international student rebuked him and said, "This is America; there is free speech here. You are hindering this man from speaking and us from hearing." The atheist argued with him for a few minutes but the international shamed him into taking the sign out of my face. It is interesting that a foreigner would have more respect for the American heritage than the American atheist or the other Americans in the crowd. I fear that most students hate God more than they love freedom. They do not understand as our founders did that God is the source of freedom.
"Many students hate God more than they love freedom."
About 1:30 a Christian student boldly engaged the atheists which were in front of me. However, it was a distraction to those who were listening from a distance. So soon the crowd broke up into a number of groups with Sister Pat, Cindy, Richard, Doug, and me all talking with from one to several.
Bro. Doug is our science answer man. He joined us often during the three weeks that we were in Southern California and he answered all the tough science questions.
At 2:50 Cindy started preaching again. By now there were many atheists holding signs on the wall from which Cindy was speaking. Two of them had signs which pointed to her saying, "I am with stupid." One signer kept saying to Cindy, "I hate you." Cindy continuously countered, "I love you." Ironically, this man incessantly accused Cindy of lacking love. We left at 5 PM with Doug still taking to 6 to 8 students.
