Dear Saints,
I know that you will be inspired by Bro. Jed's Week 3 Journal. You will also want to read Bro. Jed's teaching on Hell: Love Wins: Hell Rationally Considered. I am attaching a file that contains the whole written message because we have had numerous requests from those who have heard it. Just click on the title. Or you may listen to the audio message: Love Wins: Hell Rationally Considered by clicking on this title. Also I have videoed the end of the teaching which is a call to believers to rescue the perishing. It is an inspiring challenge. Please share both of these with your family and friends. We would like to put the teaching in book form and are looking for an illustrator. Let us know if you are interested.
I can not over emphasize how important your prayers are to our success. Please continue! In Christ, Sis. Cindy

SISTER PAT SAVES THE DAY
September 4, 2012, Michigan State University
It was slow getting a crowd today. Both Cindy and I failed. Cindy kept asking the boys passing by, "Do you look at porn?" She was mostly ignored. Sister Pat was sitting and holding one of Mike Reed's signs which read, "HOMOSEXUALITY IS ABOUT LUST NOT LOVE." Someone stopped and complained that the sign was not showing love. Soon another person stopped, within 10 minutes Pat had about 10 to 12 listening. She did her usual routine, "Are you a Christian?" If the person answers "no," she asks, "Why not?" If someone says "yes," she asks, "Are you living holy? Are you a virgin?" Pat built the crowd up to about fifteen to twenty which remained for most of the afternoon. Cindy remarked as we left at 5 PM, "Sister Pat saved the day."
Sis. Pat uses the question and rebuke method to draw a crowd.
MSU students respond to Sis. Pat.
Dan Widmeyer came out to hear us today. He graduated from MSU with a degree in economics and is working in a coffee shop. He heard Chris Nada and Michael Venya preaching at MSU last year and talked to Mike Reed on the sidelines. Dan had been saved in 2010, but since meeting Mike he has gone to the Faith Tech Bible schools and has been baptized in the Holy Spirit and straightened out on the nature of sin (a selfish choice). He came out with his mother and father, a pharmacist. Dan has already done some preaching with Chris and Michael and aspires to preach more. As a result of Dan's testimony his parents have come out of Roman Catholicism and are going to a Four Square Church. It is always good to see fruit from the other campus preachers. Dan told me he is reading my book, Who Will Rise Up? Dan's father told me, "I am very proud of my son." This should be the dream of every father to have a God fearing son.
Dan, far left, is fruit of the campus preaching and now wants to be a preacher. He joined us at MSU with his parents.
Mike Reed from Michigan, does a great job of witnessing on the sidelines as we preach. He is the one who first talked to Dan about the things of the Lord.

WISDOM IS JUSTIFIED BY HER CHILDREN
September 5, 2012, University of Michigan
As always we set up on the diag. I drew a crowd which was helped when a heckler arrived in a green spandex suit, who danced around me for over an hour. The audience grew to over 100, and stayed at that level until it began to rain about 2 PM. Most gradually left with the rain, but some stood in the downpour for about 20 minutes. Eventually, I took shelter on the library porch. By 2:30 it stopped raining and Cindy succeeded in drawing another crowd.
Bro. Jed in his infamous "You Deserve Hell" shirt preaching to University of Michigan students. Several students asked to be pictured with us in the shirts each day.

The Multitudes Gather!
Jesse Morrell and the McKenzie family arrived. I called upon Joey, 15, and Sarah, 17, to testify. Both did a good job and influenced the gathering to be more focused. Mrs. McKenzie also defended the faith in front of the crowd. One girl vainly tried to confuse Sarah with the slavery issue. Students attempt to take the moral high ground against God since the Bible regulates slavery instead of utterly condemning it. Slavery is a form of God's judgment on the unrighteous.
Joey M. stands up for the faith at UM.
Joey's mom, Virginia M. testifies for Jesus.
Pastor Howard Phillips came out to campus and was active on the sidelines. He reported that he talked with three Intervarsity girls; one of the girls acknowledged that her mother was converted through my ministry on campus years ago. Her father has a street ministry. Yet the daughter still was critical of our "angry" approach. Last week when we were at the University of Illinois one of Cindy's converts from the late 70's tried to get his Christian son to introduce himself to us. However, he told his father he did not want to have anything to do with us because we go about evangelism in the wrong and an unloving manner according to the son. Evidently, the daughters and sons do not believe Jesus' proverb, "Yet wisdom is vindicated by all her children."-Luke 7:35
Pastor Howie Philips is another one of the many saints who ministered with us at UM.
We left campus at 4:15 since I had a speaking engagement at 6:30 in Lancing at one of the Faith Tech Bible Schools. I rationally defended the doctrine of Hell, which is a testimony that in the end, "Love Wins," when the damned receive their just deserts. (See link to teaching at the top of the e-letter)

Faith Tech invades UM
September 6, 2012, University of Michigan
Howie and Judy Phillips, Mike and Linda Reed, Sherry Kassane, Sherry's brother-in- law, Phil, Steve and his 16 year old daughter accompanied us to campus. Tables representing student organizations were set up not only on the Diag but all over the area. This is an event universities have at the beginning of the school year but I have never seen one as large as UM's.
Thousands of students were in the plaza area for an academic fair at UM. The noise plus the hassles from the authorities made it difficult to get a crowd. However, God moved for us and through us.
I had not been speaking long when a man walked up with an American flag shirt and red and white striped pants and blue hair. "Who are you," I asked?
"Stoney Burke, from Berkeley," he replied. "Are you Brother Jed?"
Stoney is an old nemesis that I had not seen in over a decade. I was delighted to see him because I perceived that with all the distractions of the day it was going to be a challenge to gain the students' attention. Stoney's presence would help capture their interest. Stoney and I chatted about old times; he was happy to see us. He remembered Holy Hubert, Pastor Glen and other Berkeley preachers. He remembered Cindy when she used to "dress like a lady out of Gone with the Wind." Stoney was cordial and engaging. He warned me, "I will be opposing you today; do not take it personally."
Bro. Jed and Stoney Burke: sparks fly and the students surround the speakers.
University staff approached both Stoney and us and said we could not set up our chairs or have any props which touched the ground. The Diag had been reserved for the student groups. The head lady said we could speak. Cindy started speaking and Stoney began to heckle. Stoney is a stand-up comedian in the tradition of Lenny Bruce but even more gross, vulgar and blasphemous. Actually, I do not remember encountering anyone more sacrilegious than Stoney. Cindy worked hard and gathered a crowd of 75 and after 30 minutes turned it over to me. Soon after I started, the staff returned and the bossy lady informed Stoney and me that we were creating a disturbance and diverting attention from the student organizations. Is there anything more exciting than the clash between God and Satan, faith and unbelief? She insisted that we stop or she would call the police. We ceased and the crowd dispersed. Someone like Stoney does help draw a crowd; the downside is that students tend to emulate Stoney and with the swearing and blasphemy.
Student objects to the statement that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father God.
I was reminded of one of my favorite quotes from George Washington, "The foolish and wicked practice of profane cursing and swearing is a vice so mean and low that every person of sense and character detests and despises it." Alas, students have come to love and honor the profane. This is deplorable especially in what is supposed to be an academic setting which is referred to as higher education.
Steve, in the hat, was able to lead one of our hecklers to faith in the Lord Jesus.
On the sidelines Steve was witnessing to three mockers in Cindy's crowd. Steve asked the boys, "What is your relationship with God?" Two immediately left but one stayed whose lips started quivering. Steve kept pressing the Truth on his heart and talked to him over an hour. Finally, with quivering lips the boy asked, "What do I need to do?" He was visibly shaken and in tears.
Steve said, "You need to repent and believe in Jesus Christ."
The boy protested, "It is really hard to do that at UM with all the sin and unbelief."
"I can understand, but that is why you need God and make a commitment to Jesus Christ," Steve said.
"I am going to do it; I have got to repent!" He ran off.
Everyone in our team was witnessing one on one or testifying to small groups all afternoon. It was a joy to see a 16 year old girl on fire for God, who heard me speak on Hell last night to the Faith Tech School. As a result, she made the decision to take the day off school and come to campus with her father. It was a good experience for her for her father told me she is interested in pursuing higher education. She received insight into higher education today.
Another team member from Faith Tech., Bro Phil spent the afternoon talking to students about the word of the Lord.
Sherry Kassane, another saint who stood with us at UM. Stoney Burke is on the right.
Cindy had six Jewish boys who approached her; she taught extensively out of the Hebrew Scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah.
Gerald Haug introduced himself. He first heard me as a 16 year old attending Michigan State. He said he did not have a problem with drinking, drugs and fornication like your typical student. He was a serious student in pursuit of truth. He was convicted by my "undiluted" gospel preaching, but allowed himself to be overly influenced by the "diluted" version of the Christian groups on campus. Next he met me again at UM where he was getting his master's degree. Finally, he heard me preach at Georgia Tech where he received his PhD. By this time he had become a Christian; he said my witness was the 80% factor in his conversion. He is now a licensed Assembly of God minister, who writes on creationism vs. evolution, apologetics and Biblical prophecy; he is a partial preterist, parting with the official pre-millennialism of the Assemblies. Preterism is a prefix meaning past. Preterists teach that most of the prophecies of Revelation were fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
Gerald H., who is now a Christian, first heard us preach when he was a 16-year-old at MSU. He is now a minister and was talking to the atheists and agnostics at UM.
Jasmine introduced herself; she is the daughter of the woman who was saved through my ministry whom I told about in my journal yesterday. As it turns out her mother was actually saved as a result of my preaching at Praise Chapel in Ontario, California, back in the early eighties instead of on campus. She did not express to me her reservations concerning my approach.
It was very loud and noisy mainly from drums until finally by 3:45 the clubs began to fold up their tables. I started preaching again and eventually drew about 12-15 students. However, the crowd broke up within an hour and we decided to make our two hour and 30 minute drive to Shipshewana, IN. Despite the hassles from the campus authorities, the heckling of Stoney, and all the noise it was a profitable day. Students were constantly confronted with a strong witness from our signs and our persons. The ladies of our team had a long prayer session with a Christian foreign student, who was frustrated with all the sin and unbelief on campus.
We had a Gideon's army in the trenches with us today! Thank you to all the Faith Tech saints of God. Eternity will show the results of today's work!

Fall Semester 2012
This is my tentative schedule for the Fall Semester 2012. There are so many campuses and so little time. Should anyone want to arrange a church or home meeting while I am in your area please contact me. Also, let me know if you are interested in scheduling formal debates with atheists, Muslims, or Christians, who disagree with my message or methods. One student leader recently contacted me that he wanted me to speak to the Young Republicans on limited government and free markets. I am still open to changes. I will be doing my tour of the Southwest and California in the Spring Semester 2013. Sister Cindy and Sister Pat will be accompanying me full time this year. Any Christians, who are interested in joining us on the road for a while, or who want to meet us on campuses in your area, are welcome. Remember to pray for the campuses that we have already preached on. Bro. Jed
