Dive Club
Our dive club, the Gulf Coast Underwater Club meets the third Tuesday of the Month, 7:00 PM at Jim's Dive Shop. Our club is a member of the Florida Skin Divers Association and participates in the West Coast Council tournaments and assists with the Southern Open State Photography, Videography and Spearfishing Championships. Club members also organize local dive trips and SCUBA related activities. This is a great way to meet fellow divers and become active in the local diving community. Club members receive free air fills or tank rentals on club sponsored trips and membership in the Florida Skin Divers Association.
Our first club meeting of 2013 will be on Tuesday, January 15th, 7:00 PM, at Jim's Dive Shop.

Florida Skin Divers Association Founded in 1952, The Florida Skin Divers Association (FSDA) is a volunteer, non-profit coalition of Dive Clubs and individuals bound together by their common interest in sport, skin and SCUBA diving. The FSDA is the oldest and largest independent organization of divers in the state of Florida. It is governed by an unpaid board of directors who are active in the diving community. The board works hard to promote diving and organize membership to protect their diving rights.
The annual Florida Skin Divers Association Banquet will be held on January 12, 2013 at the Florida Gulf Coast Center for Fishing. At the annual banquet, divers from the area gather for a fun-filled evening to socialize with with fellow divers, award trophies for the 2012 West Coast Council series spearfishing tournament and present the prestigious Norm Wyman / Poppa Taylor award to a member of our community who has worked throughout the year to promote and support our sport in the community.
