TRUNK OR TREAT 2015
If you've been here you know.  If you're new...here goes!
Wednesday, October 28, the place to be is PBUMC!  

Come out and park on the front lawn, bring your lawn chairs and candy or treats, pop open the trunk (decorate if you want), and let the children come and "trunk-or-treat" at our cars.  ** We are very low in the number of people committed to parking and handing out candy. Please volunteer to do so, if you can! We will provide extra candy and stickers for you to hand out, if you run out before the end of the evening. Thank you!

Trunk-or-Treat has become a favorite community event for area children and adults!  This is a great way to encourage a safe environment for the kids to have fun without going door to door.  There will be delicious hamburgers, hotdogs, and trunk loads of treats!  Enter the Trunk Decorating Contest if you'd like to have the "Trunk-or-Treat Trophy" stay at your house for a year! We will also be collecting NEW toys for The Christmas Toy Store - for more information on this outreach ministry, please call the church office - 492-2135. If you can't join us, please consider contributing to our "Trunk-or-Treat Candy Drive" - collection boxes located in the Worship Center and Activities Center. Join the fun and fellowship from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28! For more details contact Ms. Hannah - hannah@pbumc.net.

DON'T BE SCARED to serve the Lord in the Redemption Store! The cooler fall weather will bring many opportunities to share the love of Jesus as more people come out to shop and to be comforted by His presence in YOU! Just think of how many chances you'll get to spread His joy through your actions and comradery! What other place could possibly give you that many occasions to be a great example for Christ, in just a matter of a few hours??            NEW WOMEN'S STUDY BEGINNING SOON!

New Tuesday Morning Women's Study Begins October 20:  "Interrupted" by Jen Hatmaker.  God is in the business of interrupting what we think our lives are about.  "Interrupted" is about freedom from consumer-driven Christianity and getting back to the true faith, real life, real justice, real religion.  We meet in the Conference Room downstairs in the Activities Center, 8:45-10:30am.  Join us for what is sure to be a challenging and affirming study, with a group of kind-hearted and truth-seeking women.

          A TASTE OF PERDIDO KEY COOKBOOK UPDATE

Our PBUMC cookbooks are still selling particularly at Perdido Seafood, Joe Patti's and The Redemption Store. We do still have about 60 copies left to sell. We just made another $3000 contribution to the mortgage principle. This puts us over $20,000 toward the Living Hope Capital Campaign! Thank you to an awesome God who blessed us with wonderful, talented volunteers and a great publisher. We could not have done it on our own!

           NIGHT TO SHINE "BUDDIES" NEEDED!

.



Night to Shine...PBUMC is thrilled to host the Tim Tebow Foundation's Night to Shine on February 12, 2016, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  This event is an extraordinary prom night experience, centered on God's love for people with special needs ages 16 and older.  

We need 100 Buddies from the community for this event!  

Buddies will accompany and assist their assigned guest throughout the evening.  Buddies will be smiling a lot throughout the event, so start working out your smile muscles now!  Training and more information will be provided.  If you are interested in being a Buddy or you know someone who is, please contact Brooke Agers or Kristi McClellan at pbumc.nighttoshine+buddy@gmail.com.
